 Very much like you, and it has lasted pretty much all the way through to now; so much in fact, I'd say we'd all be better of with a still healthy fear of the opposite sex!

There's a saying here 'feart o' the beard', and every man should have it tatoo'd on his...well wherever it can be easily read. It'd stand many of us in good stead and keep us sane to boot.

Of more interest though is your journey to that soft, acerbic self-deprecating humour. Not normally associated with you lot over that side of the Atlantic, but much appreciated by me at least
