Looking forward to a good year ahead!!

I'm still making nasty comments about Neitszche and he quit assaulting and abusing the art of communication a hundred and fifteen years ago.

I didn’t read Redneck’s blog much so I have no idea. I read some and/or all comments, depending on the blogger, the responder(s), the subject and how much time I have.

One female blogger I followed and spoke to (Pink-kisses – not her full name) from CO just stopped, no specific reason I’m aware of, earlier this year. She was nice so I wonder about her.

About dead folks blogs first how would the site know? Then how would other bloggers know? Far as open for comments – I really don’t know for sure. It would seem kinda disrespectful to completely delete them.

i wasn't following much of Redneck girl, but i heard from the people who was following her, that Rednkgrll and her hubby have left swinging for good, and she has hidden her profile.

as far as blogging go, i do read each and every comment...because i really appreciate that the people took a time to read my posts and left me comment...

i tried to comment back, too...because that interaction is what makes blogging community grow...

According to one of her group members and close friend Red's husband has had some serious health problems and Red has quit Xmatch to be with and care for him.

Just disappearing without a word is weird. People may tell the site someone is dead but how would the site know the person saying it is legit or being honest? I’ve come across that in some of my past jobs.

I wasn’t suggesting remove their comments, or their blogs. I understand removing a confirmed deceased person’s profile(s). But for the numbers game the site plays I’m not sure they would do the “right” thing.

I was wondering why remove their blog? Keeping their blogs on could be a 2-sided coin. It is the blogger’s thoughts/feelings/etc. on various things. The family, IF (big IF) a family even knows they were here, may find it a good thing to know. Who knows what families will do?

Death certificates are usually a matter of public record – not necessarily simple but doable. And a lot of profile info is not accurate for reasons like privacy and security. Card companies would not give out any info to the site. So I doubt the site would go through the work of finding out and/or verifying it. What do other “social” media sites do?

Actually we are exploring an area of law that I don’t know has been dealt with – may have may not. While the blog itself is the site’s property – is the content “intellectual property” or something similar. My guess would be it is all the site’s property. But I imagine, without any research on the subject, a case may be made otherwise. For instance – what if someone came up with a brilliant poem or other writing and first posted it here? Or even an off the cuff idea that was previously unknown? Who does it belong to?

Just thinking out loud.

If it was your lawyer and didn't rep you well that does happen. I'm sure you were as reasonable as "ALL" clients are. There are also some who do everything they can. Like get innocent people off of death row.

I'm fairly certain the site would need permission from next of kin and a copy of a death certificate to delete a blog. Remember when I closed my profile? Naive me thought my blog would disappear too. Still there.

I read most previous comments (unless there's a zillion) because if several people have said what I would say then I don't bother commenting.

I notice when someone on my watch list hasn't posted in a while and generally send an email to check on them.

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

I don't follow Red's blog and, frankly, didn't notice her disappearance. It is possible she just turned her profile off for some reason.

I always read all the comments and always respond to them. I consider it a bad form not to reply to comments on my blog. People took time to read and to comment. It's only polite to respond.
BTW, selective responding is worse and more disrespectful than not responding at all. To me, blogging is interacting. I loose interest when my comments, no matter how inane, go without a reply.

Ha. Ha. Ha. My keyboard gets a blow dry after interacting with you and few others who affect my breathing and swallowing abilities in a similar way.
Unfortunately, I was too preoccupied today and didn't get any keyboard condoms. Tomorrow, tomorrow, there's always tomorrow....

I try to read all the comments prior to make my own. There are times that I feel like I have nothing new to contribute, that all I wanted to say was already said by someone else, then I don't leave a comment.
