Still around Hi folks, Just touching base with those few who read my blog. Have reverted back to standard membership again, find that the perks for paid membership just aren't worth the cost at this time, I may change that down the road, but for now will stay standard. I've met some great people on this site, and I've met some real losers, but the the good ones keep me hopeful and coming back. I have had a few really awesome experiences, and hope to have more, but at the same time, I am back to looking for "The One" who will complete me again. She might be here, but she most likely isn't. Anyway, I'll continue to work my blog when I am on, and will share any stories I feel are share worthy. I do have one from a couple months ago that I think will give you all a laugh. Met this girl in chat, and we talked back and forth for a couple days. Finally, we agreed to a meet, set up a time and place to meet, and away I went. Got ready and headed out, got to the place a little early, so I ordered a drink and sat to wait. The agreed upon time comes and goes, and she isn't there that I can see, so I figured she got cold feet and canceled. I'm about to leave, when I get a tap on the shoulder. I was not prepared for what I saw when I turned around. The woman I was supposed to meet said she was 45, 5'2" and a little extra padding. What I find when I turn around is a 23 year old (maybe), and while she was about 5'2", she was so skinny it was sad, nothing but skin and bone. Now, I don't know about anyone else, but when I meet someone on here, I expect them to look SOMETHING like thier description and pictures. This girl looked nothing like what she said she was. I don't know if she thought I wouldn't notice, or wouldn't mind she was different from what she said, but man i gotta say, I did notice, and I certainly minded. I am not at all into , who could be my , at all, and to be honest, toothpicks aren't my thing either. I like my women to at least have some meat under thier skin. This girls arms were smaller than my wrists for goodness sake. Needless to say, I told her I was not interested, and that I suggested she come clean on her profile before meeting anyone else. She seemed genuinly hurt, even though I tried to be kind, and I don't mention her name because she has since deleted her profile. It did get me thinking though, Have any of you run into this type of situation? if so, how did you react to it? Let me know your thoughts. Mr. Ed |
