I've never understood the whole FB thing. I've had a couple. It just was never quite healthy.... A real, fun FWB on the other hand can be wonderful unless (and until) one gets too attached....

A FB usually turns into a FWB because occasionally one of the FBs begins to have feelings for the other as friends tend to care about one another to a degree. And thats when the problems begin because once one of you has feelings and they arent reciprocated... Houston we have a problem. So it's a tough question to answer but a FB would be better if feelings stay out of it.

I guess the two terms are often used interchangeably; to me, an FB would have to be someone you just fuck, then leave, until you meet again, then repeat. An FWB would be a bit more than that - somebody you can have conversations with and perhaps even go out and do fun stuff with, without actually being in a relationship. As for which one I prefer - it depends on the person and my chemistry with them. In most cases, I'd probably prefer an FWB type of situation over an FB.

Actually, I see no difference in a fuck buddy or friend with benefits as long as I get to have him as often as possible. I have always enjoyed my "midnight callers" who just stop over announced or unannounced to play for a couple of hours or the rest of the night.
