If you are not expecting rain proceeding any sleet, Ice or snow you might consider spraying deicer on the windshields and windows. As long as there is no rain to wash it off the deicer will inhibit icing up of the glass.
Not the right time of year but I have also used windshield washer fluid that has a deicer in it to remove frost from the car. Usually when I spray it on I don't have to scrape. I just use a squeegee to remove the frost.
