This another post where I have to chuckle at some of the occurrences that happen on the dating side of the app. I really don’t believe I would find someone who is genuine and really looking to meet someone and maybe even have a relationship. Why?
I believe if your frequent that side of the site and think you will find someone, you may notice the lack of genuine people who would fit for what you are looking for.
I have to laugh at what these so-called fake posters do. You do get a few who are looking to promote their own business ventures like Nuru massages or some that want sex for money in return.
Many don’t post any pictures of themselves and I wonder, do they believe that people would be attracted to someone’s words that are writing on their profile without knowing if they are attractive? I give a lot of props to those who do. Then you have those that post a picture but if you take the time to scrutinize it more…..things don’t add up.
Often times if you look at them you may even realize that the person in the pic is being used by other posters in different areas of the country and with different ages…ha! You would think they would at least be a little more original.
That doesn’t mean that they are all bad, but I am no gambling man but I believe there are more fake posters than real. I tend to believe that some sites may even hire companies that fill the dating pool with fake posters just to make the site more joiner friendly. That is my belief and I am sticking to it. Anyway, I have been keeping track on the fake multi used picture some posters use. I will keep their profile names hidden but you be the judge. Who knows, maybe if they read this post, they may change things up. Not that I feel anyone running this site really has the time to check on these fake posters anyway.

I think it was on alt.com but about a decade ago, I was inundated with willing young women willing to do anything ( and I do mean anything as I just kept jacking up what I wanted, including doing my entire imaginary softball team ) if I could only send them money to get to me after being abandoned by their guy, lost their job, got robbed or whatever. You can Google their pictures and find out where they pasted them from
That is some crazy shit. I have heard my fair share of stories. They try to be subtle at first and then up the ante so to speak to get you to give them more. Even if you stop, they will still beg you for more.
Was talking (texting) with one on the second day she is calling me baby and ask me to send her a 200.00 gift card from Walmart. I actually thought she was joking. She messages me again before I was leaving work and that's when I blocked her number. She ends up messaging me from a different number at 10pm, and I said, I haven't even spoken to you on the phone, and you are calling me baby like you know me and are asking me for money? So, she said she will call me Sunday.
When she called me on Sunday, she sounded like a woman from Ethiopia who was at her local watering hole where they wash their clothes. When I said HELLO? She hung up and never called again.
Yeah, I am just totally fed up with them and it's just so time consuming. Like most of the viewers I get are fakes. They have 1 pic and when you carefully read there profiles you can tell by their grammer or overated wanting a serious relationship romance bits. I wish this site would have better requirements. Especially for those with no pics. Like in the emails when AFF says "Look who's checking you out". Really? Then once in awhile a pic and profile looks real, then during the dialogue you find out they are not when they quickly want to go off platform. So how do we get together with someone if 90% of these are not real? Uggh!!! I try to stay positive though.
The site doesn't really care about weeding out fakes. I feel they let the consumer deal with it. I feel that the more the public learns to weed it out themselves, such as learning to look for the signs of a grifter or scammer, that will shut the door on a lot of the riff raff on the site.

I started with dating sites in 2022, eventually I came here and learned more about scammers than I did meeting woman I wanted LOL.
After awhile I left, came back a few months ago and it's just worst across the board. I believe most sites don't worry about it too much because it helps bring them business. Thanks for your input though. I feel a little better venting. Tnx.

I hate that enter sends a comment. Anyways, you are definitely right. Its like if you go onto sites like FB, where the scammers are everywhere but they don't do anything about it because their bots aren't primed to find out the obvious ones. Imagine if we had a reverse image search tool that could be used to find fake profiles! Maybe then there would be less on the site.
I've come across a few myself, though I don't know that us women are plagued with them as much as the men are. The most common one I see is "When was the first time you had sex?" And when I refuse to answer, I get the same. damn. response. every. single. time. Immediate block and report to the website.
Its interesting how the dynamics are so different for the men on here, though. Women (or the dudes sitting behind a desk over in India pretending to be one) know fully well that sex sells, and if they have a fabulous body, I can't say I blame them for wanting to sell it instead of offering it up for free..
Me? I'm too much of a hoe to care about making any money. Just gimme the D! You won't see me sharing my actual face for discretion purposes (though I've been getting a little more bold with my photos recently). But if a person asks, I don't shy away. You either like me and want to talk more or you don't. You either want to fuck me or you don't.
There are plenty of other dicks in the sea, and even though I am not the hottest looking woman on the site, I still have my pick of what I want. Everyone else? Well they can go fuck themselves if they are more focused on making a few bucks.
It's not only men who have that problem. I have had over 20 that I know for sure were scammers as they all ended up asking for money. Their stories are almost word for word the same..............
And let's not forget the profile text (when there is any) of these scammers. Most of them start with "I believe that..." and go off to the races from there, sounding like a Hallmark Channel script generated by ChatGTP. 😂 I'm still flooded with "views," most of them from out of state (and quite a few from out of the country, even as far away as China and Japan), and even the handful that are actually in my area (Michigan) are much the same. I've been here long enough to spot a scammer coming from 10 miles off (nuru massage! mistress looking for a slave!), but there are plenty that are naive enough to believe that some of these are real. The Great and Glorious Return of Andrew™ was supposed to usher in a cleanup of this nonsense, but much like Andrew himself, those promises have disappeared into the ether. 😢

It's really sad that this is still happening, but I guess that they enjoy making a profit from them which is just crazy to me. Thanks for sharing this and outing the scammers..
It isn't cool that this is happening but since the site doesn't do more to weed the riff raff out, maybe those of us that pay attention to the stupid things that these grifters do maybe those we can share with others those things to look out for.

ive run into similar cases on this site myself....
The ratio of men to women on this site is 15 to1. This makes the site a feeding ground for scammers. And some of those scammers are actually males posing as females. Also a lot of catphising. And when you see a naked woman that is good enough for a playmate photo and you are far below her in the looks category, you know you will eventually be asked for money. Scammers use the same story lines, terms of endearment, and eventually ask for money, iPhone, webcam or money to travel to Europe to see their late father's lawyer about an inheritance or being a nurse working for some charity in Africa and getting stuck there and needing travel money to get home and to then "Thank You". Avoid "Too Good To Be True".
You are right on all accounts. Seems like sites like these and dating apps are the proving grounds for online scammers.
I run into it all the time....its so disheartening! Normally one of the first things I ask is "what part of (my city) are you in?"....typically the answer (if I get one at all) is "Im in the US right now but will be returning there for work" or some such bullshit.

Unfortunately interent dating is here to stay. The internet is the perfect place for scammers (con-artists). For us men , there called romance scammers. I just don't send them any money or gifts .
Anyone who asks a complete stranger for money online, regardless of their story is a grift. No exception. I don't know of many folks who are hard up for money would think of asking a stranger on a dating app.
Hello i am writing this to tell my scam story of this shanta white aka Mia i met over 8 yrs now who recently got akolf of me and needed just my help .... lives in ft smith ark.... got fired from job due to sexual advances from lesbian ,,, mother has diamintia the whole 8 yrs has no money n want me to be her husband ,,,,always has issues and money problems ....she sent so many pics i seen just on this message i have had over the years that its funny but will NEVER EVER share any sexy pics of herself till we are together and married ,,,,and always calls me and textes an whatsapp cause she doesnt have an actual phone number working that she has to have to working to use apps like whatsapp.....she has fb profile she uses messanger from ,,,,i thinking seriously of contacting catfish from mtv and deal with whoever it is on other phone that seriously sounds like an man ...which her so called excuse is she was born with an voice of deep sounding and hates it and wants an surgary to fix it ,,,,,lol.....

Seems that is very similar to other stories I hear from other members. They try to hook a (target) and then string them along with they need help. I believe that they look for the standup guy who will help out. So, they may start out with something small, something the target can provide them and then they will up the ante and present more problems that the only the target can fix. You have to ask, what am I getting out of it? Is this worth my time and effort? Sometimes if you distance yourself from their ruckus like, things become a bit clearer, and you realize that sometimes it's best to cut bait and move on. The part that hurts is when you look at the time you spent in the ordeal and what do you have to show for it?
I dropped off this site a few years ago because of all the scammers and fakes. One got me good and tried to blackmail me, so that's when I closed the account. I'm back on now but have already seen a bunch of attractive women from all over the country check out my profile. Their sheer numbers and beauty scream scam. I'm going to be much more cautious this time about chatting and meeting.
Yes, I got burned by one on a different site. The are astute on getting folks tied up in their deceit. I feel the more people share their experiences with what they do, you can start seeing the trail the leave.
Tough job to eliminate all the fakes. I hope they succeed in the end. But it is why I like to meet people rather than chat online.
True but even trying to meet can prove difficult. I have given up on it. Only stayed on the site for the folks I chat and interact with on the community side.
I used to travel for business quite a bit and found the same photos all over the US. They seem to be doing a better job at keeping the fake profiles down compared to a year ago. My thought is how lucky I must be to have some of these hotties match my profile so well. And the all seem to be "warm and loving". Their profiles all read very similarly.
I kind of picture the same scenario and envision some guy in his underwear sitting behind his computer, being paid to come up with these fake profiles. He must be getting bored in doing his job because he is getting sloppy in doing it.
I call these girls Adrew's Angels because I believe this site is behind 90% of these fake girls. I feel that on slow days for customer service, they spend their time creating these accounts. Many of them are only here for one day! (Look at Joined date and Last online date). Also do a Google pic search and you will find many stolen pics from other social media sites. Then you have the 50 something girls that look 20-30. Do they think we are stupid? Come on, this site needs to clean up it's act. It's been going down hill for years. The New "Original" site owner hasn't done what he said he was going to do, except try to make more money!
Agreed....the more one digs the clearer one site is to how they manipulate what is presented. I don't aim to date anyone from the site, bit how many people fall for the crap they are peddling?
