For anyone that had one.......
One What you ask? An eight track player. This could be your day if you still have one. lol HAPPY National Eight Track Tape Day. lol I loved mine and in the car it was so cool.
Another blast from the past. In a time not so long ago. We melted cheese, put bread on a long stick. Brought out some fine wine. Would sit around chat drink wine and eat Cheese Fondue. I hope you will all have a very Happy National Cheese Fondue Day. lol
We (and by that I mean. Me and I guy that like to play around) Would go up to a lake to watch the submarines race. I did not know that April 11th was National Submarine Day.
Happy Submarine Day I hope you get to see one or two. lol

Back in the day 8 track was the thing. Had one that would want to play 2 tracks at once. Have to adjust the head. Hope you are having a great weekend.
Thank you the weekend is going well. I did have a lot of fun and good time with my 8 tracks.
Cheese fondue, memories (mostly should not be vocalized in polite society) were made around that. And the way to quiet the submarine race announcer — kiss her.
I was very fond of fondue.
I not only had 8 track tapes and players but my Akai reel to reel also had an 8 track recorder/player on the side. Made plenty of playlists before they were known as playlists, as far as you know 😎
Had the fondue thing too to melt cheese and whatever else.
Subs racing, never heard of that. Where was this, Wash state? I know there’s a sub base there.
The sub racing he was thinking about was the sub between his legs. LOL

I had a small reel to reel. I think the reels may have been about 3" across. Not sure but close enough. lol Went to Cassette and still have all of them My car has a Cassette player in it. 1991 Buick Riviera. lol

My Sony reel to reel tape transport preceded 8 tracks, but I too made 7†“playlists†wore out tapes and kept the LPs pristine.
1972 Chevy vega, with a pink Floyd and led Zeplin 8 track tape in the glove box.
To be honest , I owned a Leo sayer 8 track tape
lol I had a ‘72 Vega too. What a piece of crap. Bought it new and sold after 9 months. I had 8 tracks then but don’t recall if I put one in my Vega.
I still have some here "Black Sabbath" "Paranoid" lol 1956 Chev Bel-Air
@CarolynCrups Had a ‘56 too, but a Mercury. It cost me $60 and was worn out. Ran for awhile though before I junked it. lol

Never had an eight track just a one track mind. Still do.
A very sexy one-track mind is a wonderful thing to have. lol
