The Kansas Weather Primer You May Not Even Yet Know You Need

Thanks to climate change more and more parts of the country are experiencing “Kansas weather” – droughts, large temperature swings, tornadoes, etc. But what I want to focus on here today is the most well known of all the phenomena – fierce “straight-line” winds (NOT circular tornadoes).
Some of the weather forecasters have started issuing “Trash Can Forecasts”. The idea is: After you set your cart out at the end of the driveway before heading to work, what will be its status when you get home. The first illustration in the comments shows the values.
But of course there are good things that happen when the wind blows horrendously too. Images 2, 3, and 4, in the comments are good examples. And perhaps you ladies might find benefits when it gets hot and sweaty out – see the fifth image in the comment.

I do not always wear panties.
I like warm, not hot, days with just a soft breeze.

I've not heard of a trash can forecast but it makes sense to have one. We can get pretty windy over here, too.
I don't wear skirts.
I like sunny weather and I'm not too particular about the temp since 2/3 of the year is cloudy.
I do not handle cloudy/overcast weather well. I'd even rather it be zero and sunny!

I think I've heard trash can forecasts before. High winds are probably not as common here, but they do happen. My usual bellwether for it is if the plastic Adirondack chair on my balcony blows over (which is not a real high threshold, it happens around once a month).
I keep the trash cart in the garage and only put it out either the night before, or the morning of, trash pickup pending the forecast. The status of the cover over the grill on the deck (which is bungeed in place) is a good indicator of the wind strength.
@CleavageFan4U I don't have space in my garage. 😂 Especially for the giant recycling cart. But, unlike others on my block, instead of leaving them sitting on the edge of the alley I pull them up next to my garage. They seem less inclined to blow away when sheltered on at least one side.
My favourite weather is in the spring and autumn provided it's seasonal weather.
Seasonal around here means wild swings.
