I've never fallen asleep while exercising.
Try standing so close you can read over their shoulders and make comments on their texting. That should move something along.
I've tried hovering around but they're so absorbed they don't even notice.
I know some damn good workouts for that machine. I used to row thebow pair in the eight and the four.
I push 140 pounds on there, not the max, but not far off it.
I never be at the point of sleeping at the gym. I scheduled my workout time keep me busy. Even when it has a slow spot. I hop on the rowing machine. I Even have the instructors stop by and give me encouragement
I've never fallen asleep in a gym not least because I've never been to a gym!
I knew there would be a few comment that way.
Yeah never come close to falling asleep at the gym. But I'm sure a big breaststroke workout partner would keep you awake.
You know me so well. 😁
I don't think I've ever come even close to falling asleep at the gym. No wait...a couple times in yoga class during the final savasana pose.
I agree with your annoyance on the people who sit and do stuff on their phone. Dude! (or dudette) You don't need a 10 minute recovery between sets.
Almost falling asleep during yoga is becoming a common theme in the replies here.
As I mentioned below, there is one senior citizen in particular who occupies the machines while spending an inordinate amount of time picking at this phone. I really DO think he needs the extended recovery time.
That's a trick question. 😂
All of my exercise equipment and weights now have a permanent home in my spare bedroom. I have gotten sleepy after a workout and then walked ten feet... into MY bedroom to "rest."
When I had a GYM membership, I'd go with a buddy. We'd push the crap out of each other, trying to get to the next level. I never got sleepy during those sessions, but I did see stars and felt "woozy" ... more than once. 😶
I prefer working out from home where I can toil at my own pace.
I did the home gym thing briefly during Covid - the scenery is much better at a shared workout space.
@CleavageFan4U
Ahhh... THAT, is soo true and one of the drawbacks of a "home-gym." 😂
I've never fallen asleep in the gym. Sounds like a serious issue though. Like a sleep disorder. Yoga class, a few times, depending on what kind of yoga. Embarrassing moments? A fair bit. Deadlifts usually make my ass eat my shorts. Like...really deep
Cameltoes are almost always present, but I really don't get embarrassed by that anymore
Oddly enough, I get embarrassed a fair bit by getting caught staring, or checking people out. LOL
I TRY not to be the classic dirty old man while there, but some of the ladies make that hard (pun intended).
I've never fallen asleep on a piece of equipment, but I have almost done that in a yoga class. It was the end where I was lying on my back just being still.
I can see that happening.
The images illustrating the machine under discussion, and those promised more fun ones too:
