Black and White, for HNW

Of the five categories I sometimes enter in the monthly regional camera clubs competitions I have won the most awards in the Black and White category. I would like to believe this is because I have some talent in this area. But the reality probably is that I take advantage of a special feature in my photo editing software that most people either do not use, or perhaps do not even know about.

If the original shot was taken in color, after converting it to Black and White, the program I use allows you to work with each of the individual color channels independently. Those channels are red, orange, yellow, green, aqua, blue, purple, and magenta. That provides a LOT of control!

Admittedly, in keeping with good editing practices, the differences are somewhat subtle, but which shot do you like the best?
