I'm tired just reading it! LOL.
The visits were spaced apart enough to not feel rushed.
I love how much variety you got to experience—wineries, whiskey, cheese, and even gamecock. Your descriptions made me feel like I was right there with you, from the bumpy roads to the relaxing final train ride. Glad you had such a fun and memorable day!
Even tho I know I'm going to be exhausted the coming week, it's worth going out and having fun with friends every now and then
@JN63JPN Absolutely! Sometimes the best moments come with a little exhaustion tax, but totally worth it for the fun and good company.
Hope you recover quickly!
Wondering what fresh cheese ice cream would taste like. Thanks as always for sharing your outings.
It kinda tasted like cream cheese
You are the best travel guide - companion ever. I love seeing things thru your eyes
Hugs!!
It's always a pleasure to share my adventures
Sounds like a nice time.
Being able to sample the wares is ALMOST enough to convince this hardcore American driver to partake of the alternate transportation.
Yeah, the $10,000 fine + 5 years in prison if getting caught with alcohol in your system is a pretty good reason to use alternative transportation.
I'm not a wine drinker but I'd certainly go on a tour like that just to do the cheese tasting part!
There weren't very many cheese samples out, sadly. But the ice cream was good.
Grape leaves edible? Interesting.... I had never heard it before either.
The Japanese will make tempura out of dandelions, even. Of course, not ones growing by the road and absorbed a bunch of exhaust fumes.
Until your blog posts, I never knew that wine was a big thing in Japan. Thanks for informing me otherwise.
The ones run by big companies are in Nagano and Hokkaido but there are private wineries scattered around Japan
