How are you?
We got some rain today. It was crazy. The clouds gathered up and spooosh! It dumped enough rain that the pond is full and we have puddles. In an hour or less. Not the lovely, slow, soak into the ground kind of rain. It was a gully washer rain. And our driveway is even more rutted than before. Sighsss.
I am delighted we got some rain though. I mention how dry it is and Mother Nature sends rain a day later. That's darn good service! 
The rain is also handy because I have a peach and a pear tree loaded with fruit. The other peach and pear are bare. So weird.
I need to brush up on my canning peach recipes.

Peach booty, tree and a pear tree

So jealous that you can grow peaches! A perfectly ripe peach is heavenly. Not the rocks that they try to sell us in the grocery stores.
Love fresh peaches. We used to clean them up and freeze them for later but eating them fresh was best. Your trees look amazing.

It is good to hear you got some rain even if it all came too fast. While it would certainly better to have gotten all that rain over a day or so; I know you are too smart to complain that is all fell so quick. Mother might decide you were ungrateful and say "See if I will send you more." Good service from the asking to the getting though.
I love those words - gully washer! And peaches are my favorite fruit. Have fun canning. I'd help if I were closer.
I love peaches. I have to balance straight canning peaches with jam.

Our peach tree has struggled in recent years but our pear tree kept me busy.
We could use some rain out here.

We got some decent rain yesterday too, and the lingering clouds helped hold the might temp for the day to 80. 😲
Some of the areas in western KS, that are much more desperate, got TONS. Really too much / too fast as much of it ran off the rock hard ground.
We are usually like the western Kansas people. It rains hard and runs off into ditches before much is absorbed. Sooo frustrating.
"Sposh," is exactly the same sound rain makes over here — two thousand miles north.

I don't mind getting wet. I avoid lightning though.
Glad you got rain, we did also. Was so dry, but was a gully washer. Like you would had preferred a gentle soaker but will help with garden and grass. Hugs

We had severe thunderstorm warnings which are common during the hot and humid summer days. Fortunately, we only had rain so once again, everything looks lush and green.

A neighbor commented that we're not seeing a steady drizzle when it rains during the rainy season these days, but the rain comes down in buckets.
Thats how our rain tends to behave. Like a temperamental child
