How are you?

Are you ready for the week ahead? Mine will be work and more work. Like this past weekend, LOL.

Saturday I lost my mind. I woke up, got dressed and went outside to build a stone wall. The wedge shaped stones you buy at the home improvement store - those. Scrape the dirt and get it leveled. Lay the stone. More leveling, more stones. The wall is only 2 stones high, thank goodness. The bad news is I need some dirt for a hole and a few more stones to finish.

I cooked Cowboy lunch then we hung his new tv in the addition. Oh. My. Becky. What was I thinking letting him buy a huge tv? It is crazy heavy and needed to go way up the stinkin wall. I got creative and pulled a folding table and tall dresser over to provide stop points. Why? Because the tv was heavy and huge and tilted and I was terrified I would drop it on my head then we would both hit the floor. Oh and because I actually had to climb a ladder part way thru to get the tv high enough. I'm 5'6 and that's not tall enough to hang a big tv.

The tv is currently clicked onto the wall mount and hanging on the wall. Every time I go out there to do something I am shocked that the tv is ON the wall and not on the floor. It's all bolted into wall studs but seriously, that tv is stinkin heavy.

My reward for all my manual labor was to go to the home improvement store before the water garden tour to buy that extra dirt and get plants for the new area. Then I talked myself out of buying plants. It's mid July and hot as heck. The plants will struggle to get established. Cowboy agreed that covering the new bed with the weed block fabric and some weights until next spring is wise. And way less work, LOL.

Thankfully we got dinner out and headed to snoop other people's ponds. Way less effort

Sunday was more rearranging of the house. Why the daily hustle? We have a crew coming this week to move Cowboy's pool table. The day after there will be a crew here to lay the rest of the new flooring. So we are clearing the area that will get new flooring.
(Wahoo! I am not the one laying the tile!!! Yippee!!)
And clearing the room for the pool table. And squishing everything else in the other parts of the house, so the various crews can do their work. Once they are done, we can spread everything back out and the house will be close to being 'right'. Builder Butthead has more baseboard and paint to do. Then, maybe, the house will be almost caught up. There is a story that goes with that. And of course, before I start the next project, LOL.
