Can you believe we will wrap July up in a few days? August is usually a hot, brutal month in Oklahoma. Then September comes and the average temps start dropping. The state fair happens and it finally rains. My goal each year is to survive July and August. Almost halfway there, LOL.

Been a very mild summer in Roswell, though there have been times we have hit 100's around 10am in March. It will stay that way until October. But at least it is a dry heat, don't know how people handle that with humidity.

Yes surviving July and August is important especially in the heat. Ours sometimes starts in April, May, June. This year it was June when it really started getting hot here, and it's been rising ever since.

July hasn't been as brutal as it often is though it will go out with a heat wave this week. I'm not much for the hot summer anymore and I am already looking forward to the hoodie weather and bonfires this fall. My Sunday was mostly lazy too, but I did make myself the best banana bread. It only lasted through this morning because I only had enough ingredients for a single loaf and 5 muffins. I also tried a new crockpot recipe that was just "meh". Easy enough to make, but probably won't make again.
I love my crockpot. It slow cooks and dinner is ready whenever I feel like dishing, hehehe.
