How are you?
I went outside and sat by the pond today. It was a beautiful winter day. I had a sweater layered over my T but no coat. The sun was warm on my skin. The livestock dog came to visit and get pets. Then the barn cats came one by one to get ear and booty scritches.
It is these little moments of peace and tranquility that get me thru the rough times.
If you are struggling, try to find gratefulness for the tiny things. The little pauses where you can exhale for just a bit. A few seconds of peace.
A warm shower. Good food. Refreshing beverage. Sunshine. A happy critter. Jokes or cartoons.
Find comfort in music or old movies, books or tv shows.
Lean into the good.
I'm here for you if you need a new friend.

It's the little things in life that are important . . . like my paycheck 😂 It's not much, but it pays the bills, puts food on my table, and keeps a roof over my head.

It is good to hear you took some time to just be. I agree that it is the "little" things that can be the most soul satisfying. The sort of things you mentioned. Training oneself to notice those sort of things. The flash of a bit of Nature, seeing a cheerful face or a granny with wildly colored hair in a crowd, savoring the aroma of a meal or such. Sadly it seems one has to train oneself to notice the little passing joys in life while the negatives just seem to swat you in the face and can make you forget all those little good things. This is something Diane and I have managed to learn to do.
I admit some day I too struggle as we all do. I have learned to keep it in bounds an not let it go too far. Your posts and posts of other bloggers here are part of the not so little "little" things that help me see the large amount of good in the world. Thank You!

Hubby got me a new Bluetooth headset, and a Lazy Susan puzzle table. I enjoyed both for hours yesterday. What day is it again??
Those are wonderful gifts! I love puzzles. And my son is encouraging me to get a bluetooth headset so I can keep working while we talk on the phone. Maybe your hubby can chat with mine?
Today was Sunday. One more week off until school resumes.
