Wow, Pony, you never fail to turn even earth-altering chaos into a great story! What an ordeal—I can't believe the earthquake caused your waste line to go uphill. Kudos to Cowboy for tackling such a huge project, and hats off to you for rolling up your sleeves and helping out too! Washing dishes in a bucket and dumping water outside—talk about making the best of a tough situation. I hope everything is back to normal soon, and that the spring quilt washing can be the peaceful reset you need after all this earth-shifting madness!
I had not realized you had had an earthquake near you and am very sorry to hear how it messed up your past week or so. No doubt it was a relief to get that repair finished. At least you still had water coming in and analternate loo facility.
I had no doubts that you would be helping with the outside work so I am sending a good massage for all you achy bits along with big naked hugs.
Oh nooooooooo!!! That sounds like a real pain in the ass! I hope things go back to normal soon.
It never ends when one owns a home. Seams something is all the time giving trouble. I do understand. Hugs
Yessss. I love my home and it can be so much work.
Hugs!!
Eee... that's not fun. I can only imagine the annoyance and inconvenience.😲
My town sits in an earthquake zone. We usually get about two or three moderate tremors per year. They start with a boom that sounds as if a convoy of huge dump trucks is driving by my front door. My house will rattle and shake — in multiple waves— for about twenty or thirty seconds. Framed pictures on walls tilt, and my whole place sways and vibrates. We had a 3.8 (on that Richter scale) a couple of weeks ago, which had me holding my breath... for a bit.
So far (knock on wood), there's never been any serious damage: a couple of broken glass, once. 😶
You live with earthquakes often? Oh hon that would stink!
I find the actual quake entertaining. Not the chaos after though.
Hugs!
You get earthquakes in Oklahoma?! 😳
The JP gov’t just upped the projected damages and casualties should we get hit by a Nankai trough earthquake. Haven’t seen anybody panic-buying toilet paper so I guess people aren’t overreacting to the news.
Earthquakes were fairly rare. Then the oil industry kicked up their activity. Fracking is imperfect and too much causes earthquakes. Not big honking quakes but enough to cause obnoxious results.
Wow! I never thought about that being a possible side effect from an earthquake, but it totally makes sense. You deserve some R&R.
From your mouth to Gods ear. I want some R&R
That was some earthquake ya'll had there. I am so glad you got the lines fixed and can now get back to enjoying life again.
I hope you both enjoy a very happy and sexy hump day..
Thank you! Enjoying life is my goal
I've had similar experiences with Plumming, and it's never good. Not through earthquakes, but flooding and storm damage. 💋
Flooding and storm damage are so bad.
Hugs!!
I hope the waste lines are soon fixed.
YIKES, talk about a shitty job! Hope things settle down for you now.
I know it's hard to say for sure, but any discussion on if these this quakes were due to fracking in the area? We had some 10 or so years ago, until they tightened up on the regulations on fracking.
They are absolutely fracking related. They drilled at a neighbors and we have had problems ever since.
Hugs!
