There are also a lot of protesters who are just trying to peacefully convey their distress at what is going on. I was out there last weekend. I brought an American flag instead of a sign. I think it is important to convey that we love our country.

But the news is always going to carry the pictures of the outrageous people, right?

I'm usually an optimist, but that is really being challenged of late.

I admire how that survey gave you a "pause moment" to evaluate both the world around you and the kindness within you. It’s a sobering thought to see humanity rated so low in society at large, but your ability to notice and emphasize the love and service you carry within yourself is inspiring. The world could certainly use more people like you 😊

I agree that the level of humanity we have been hearing about has dropped a lot in the past several years. Sadly, I suspect it is more than just; "The news is showing more of it for a while now but it has not really had a negative change." There may be a decrease of human kindness on here but I avoid those who are not nice and I too find my regular readers are wonderful.

Hello Pony Luv, that image of Hildy had me laughing with memories of my first apartment I had alone in Virginia Beach. The geese around the lake would chase after me during my daily run. It did make the workout a tad more interesting I must admit.

As for humanity and the 'levels' of it... Yeah. There is a quote from a fantasy author (Terry Goodkind), "People are stupid.", meaning you get a large group of people together and they will believe anything. But on a smaller scale they are more willing to question what they are told. Seems quite apropos for this day and she.
