I expect I may have have had argumentative moods when I was a lot younger and even sometimes persued it. Now I know that such are much like leaving a pot of stew, soup or candy on high and letting boil over. Just eats up a lot of energy and leaves a mess afterward that you no longer have the energy to clean up. Peaceful is good and a hot argument rarely if ever ends with a true winner.
I definitely have my growly days where nothing seems right with my world and I sometimes get annoyed with anything and everything my husband and children do. Thankfully, I don't think I have those days often. Hubs tend to withdraw when he's in a mood and I dislike not knowing what perceived slight I've done. Thankfully, his are pretty rare as well. And both of us can often shift our mood with a good meal or a nap (or both). 😆 Hugs
My humble opinion, most bad moods tend to start from a lack of sleep or pain. It just sets the day up badly.
Hugs!!
I would have walked away as well. I'm conflict avoidant and especially when it's pissy shit.
(also, I'm always right. Hahahahaha!)
LOL It's good to be right
Hugs!!
Way back when I was married, I would leave, go to a movie. It was so peaceful and a cooling off time and a distraction. After my butt hole dad, I don't put up with it.
Going to a movie alone is a great idea!! And I could eat all the popcorn, hehehe.
Hugs!!
Your weather rollercoaster sounds like Mother Nature is throwing darts at a season chart just for fun. And as for Cowboy—sounds like it was one of those days. I totally get it. I don’t usually get argumentative; I’d rather bite my tongue than get drawn into something that’ll just drain my energy. Like you, I’ve learned that peace is priceless, and sometimes walking away is the best way to protect it.
Hope tomorrow brings calmer skies—both outside and at the dinner table!
I make ita point not to get into an argumentative mood. Particularly with my wife. I will walk away.
I learned this when I was a young teen watching my mother and father get into arguments and the results generally were not beneficial for each one of them.
I have found by walking away in the long run I come ahead generally.
Maybe he just needs laid. Lol I know I am moody all the time because I am not getting laid. It's a man thing.
If he wants laid, he is using the wrong words and tone of voice, LOL.
The older I get, the more I want peace, too. Fighting is just not worth it. Still chilly here, had to wear winter coat yesterday.
I am sorry you had that happen to you yesterday as it seems silly over butter right..
But men can be like that sometimes, mine is more of a give me the silent treatment which I hate. I don't hold shit in as I say what I think at the moment because holding it in only causes more stress I think.
I hope your day is a better one today..
When Cowboy yells, I would love some silent treatment. But if he did it often, I would want him to talk
Hugs!!
I try not to be argumentative and I certainly don't do all-day moods.
Good for you!! All day is too long to be cranky.
Hugs!!
I never deliberately pick a fight, but I'd bet others around me would disagree with that statement.
Do you also like angry sex?
@PonyGirl1965 No, that's not the reason. Some days I'm just cranky.
I don't think I've ever had angry sex. 😮
@CleavageFan4U I won't have angry sex. It just seems wrong.
I get cranky too.
Weather like a yoyo here too. I just state my opinion and move on...Hugs
If I state my opinion and move on, I get accused of not giving him time to rebut the issue, LOL.
Hugs!!
I don't argue with anyone except my "inner monologue." He constantly reminds me of what I should be doing or should have done. And I keep telling him to shut the f ** k up. They're usually quick bursts, and we've remained close. I know he has my best interests at heart. 💕
You talk to your inner self like I do mine. I often say my 'inner boss' is a real bitch. LOL
Hugs!!
Hello Pony Luv, typically I do not get in a fighting mood. Nobody wins and you typically look like an ass when you do. I do get in a mood from time to time, mostly while driving to and from the office now. Something about people getting their driver's license from a box of cracker jacks.
Anywho, I have the first batch of entremets in the freezer and will have the second batch done tonight then there is the mirror glaze. I'll share a pic when I get one.
Now you're making me want a baked tater for dinner, smothered in chilli and cheese. Mmmm.
I love baked taters!! I will put pulled beef or pork, bbq sauce, cheese, whatever on top. You can't go wrong.
Hugs!!
