Hello Lovebugs!
How are you?

I finally got a little sleep. Wednesday was super busy. I visited the plant center late Tuesday (Earth Day) and bought more bushes. So that is why Wednesday got wild as we removed a couple dead bushes and added 9 new ones of various varieties. I planted a couple more sweet potato vine plants. And pulled another thousand weeds. More laundry. Yada yada yada.
Funny thing - I am now out of plants to put in dirt. Just pond plants to throw back in the water

I old schooled dinner at Cowboys request. Hash browns cooked crispy then topped with browned, ground sausage and cheese. Onions, peppers, garlic. Oh my word. So delicious. Back in the day we used hamburger meat. Now we use sausage for more flavor. Thankfully it is our sausage, so it is lean meat.

Gardeners! I have a question.
What perennials do you have that can handle relentless sun, stay about 2-3 feet tall, maybe have some color?
Bonus if they hold their leaves over winter. I want more plants to fill in the empty spaces and perennials are preferred.

I have some mint or cat nip. The guy called it cat nip but the cats never go near it. And it smells faintly minty. I now call it catmint. It dies off over the winter but then burst into life and grows fast in the spring. It is a bit over a foot high already, very thick and has bloomed with tiny purple flowers. This is the type of plant that will work well in the landscaping around the pond.

I appreciate any ideas you may have.
