University of Texas Longhorns won! It is their first time winning the Women's College World Series. The game was very exciting. Texas Longhorns and Texas Tech Red Raiders all played well.
The talented Texas Tech million dollar pitcher signed on for another million dollar year with Texas Tech before this final game. Her skills, talent and dedication will continue to be rewarded.
Saturday is the Belmont Stakes, the final race of the Triple Crown series. Not that there is the chance of a Triple Crown winner this year. I will tune in and cheer for a good winner.
Thursday I drove to my fav pond store over an hour away. I drive that far because the people are so amazing. Anyway I bought several water Hyacinth's. Friday when I went outside, I saw at least one was so happy to be in a new home that she bloomed.
Life's little blessings always delight me

When you drive that far, do you have something in mind to buy or hope you will be inspired once you are in the store and talking to the clerks ?
We called ahead, as well as texted the owner to be sure they had a adequate supply of hyacinths. I bought 20. I drove there specifically for those plants. I bring my tropical taro's and canna's indoors for the winter. Then have some hardy lilies, thallia and pickerel that round out my plants. They did have some new plants I loved but I declined to pay $20 for a tiny 2-4 inch pot of anything that will die off in the winter.
So glad your enjoying your games, and it's nice that your adding to your pond as it's so beautiful.
