How was your weekend?
Saturday was lots of great college football. And food. I baked a pineapple upside down cake for that night. Dinner was Tbone steaks and baked potatoes. I also made Boston Cream bars for Sunday dinner with the kids. That dinner was wiener fest with son grilling bratwurst, hot links, boudin, and smoked sausages. Yum!! Way too much rich and sugar and decadence. Oh well ....
Today was leftovers. Ohhh poooor meeeee ..... LOL

Friday, we drove down to SW MO to visit daughter and she made these homemade meatball mini subs that were really good for lunch. We went to Branson to Silver Dollar City for their harvest festival. It was stupid crowded, but for dinner the 3 of us split a fried tenderloin sandwich/fries and chicken fingers/fries and a coke (all screaming hot, but tasty). Hubs made pancakes and bacon for us Sat morning and then we headed back home. We stopped at Culvers mid afternoon on the way back into town for late lunch/early dinner. Sunday I made broccoli cheese soup for lunch and tacos for dinner. In addition to seeing daughter and all the crowd at Branson, we visited with my best friend that lives in Springfield for just a bit Fri night and Sat morning. Once I was home, I was alone for most of the rest of the weekend.
The broccoli and cheese soup sounds delicious. So what kind cheese it was ?

@PonyGirl1965 we went in December a couple years ago and really enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend going midweek. We had Branson landing practically to ourselves. Sdc was only open thu-sun so we went thu and it was crowded but we heard weekends were worse. We missed Shepherd of the hills bc they were only open on weekends. I bought tickets on a sale and didn't see that so daughter took one of her friends after finals and they had fun but got cold. Lol. The chateau on the lake has a gigantic gingerbread village in the lobby that was very cool and free to visit. So many cool things that time of year.

Hello Pony Luv, currently I'm in MO and, just said good bye to the female half of a couple I have known for some years now.
Well, race day in Austin did not disappoint. The weather was great and most of the cars stayed on the track. I made some great friends and new contacts for working races overseas.
As I was walking pit lane, the Williams crew was walking out one of their cars for the F1 experience for fans to take a closer look at. I was at the right place at the right time.

My alma mater stayed true n strong and avoided any come from behind loss ... 34-17 !!! Brats are today! It's likely going to be one of the last 60+ degree days until next year! Wahoo!! I am so glad you got a win!! Our weather has finally dipped. We went from 80's to 60's. Totally skipped the 70's. Mother Nature is having fun with us.
Well ,this weekend I had a boring one . I had to work . Many times when I work on weekends I can spend time just looking at the ladies walk by and can chat with them as well 😁

I saw about a thousand or so of my neighbors out to protest on a beautiful day.
Then on Sunday the cold that had been hovering over me decided to really kick in.
I avoid any and all kinds of protests. Too often they get out of hand. You are so brave.

Sounds like a great weekend was enjoyed with some great food and family to enjoy it with. As far as what i ate I don't even remember honestly. As I haven't really been eating that much lately.

My Saturday was somewhat like yours, though I had to get the grass cut, before the massive rain storm hit. Sunday's Halloween decorating with granddaughter kind of limited sports viewing, but that's fine.
We are still waiting on rain. I have my fingers crossed that we will get a little on Friday.

So everyone here spoke about their weekend except me; how rude.😲
A buddy of mine had a gig in the east end and they needed a stand-in drummer. I've played with them before and knew their set list. Got home at four in the morning, after eating at an all-night place. That resto was packed with other musicians and late-nighters. I had a blast but spent Sunday recovering. Damn... I'm not as young as I used to be. 😂

hello pony this weekend as carve pumpkins and I made pork schnitzel and meatballs and besides football scary movies... I have to say I like hildas attire while she bird watches..

We went to a chili cook-off (I had a hot dog, since I can't eat chili), and Hubby won 3rd place! He's getting to be a great cook!

I spent the weekend in St Louis, visiting my brother. His grandsons had sporting events so I watched football, too...5th graders, not college plus some 8th grade basketball. It was fun.
