So glad you didn't catch a cold and you got all the plants out safely. I hope you enjoy a terrific Tuesday too..
Thank you!! I was so surprised I wasn't shivering. The water was good to me.
Hugs!!
Trying to time anything weather wise is a real pot-shot around here. Glad you got it all done, and hope you don;t suffer any major consequences health-wise.
Nope I am fine. I anticipated the worst and it was all good.
Hugs!!
You kicked butt cleaning the pond and it is deep breast high nipples had to been hard in that water as you say you sucked it up and "got er done" warms hugs to you for your hard work
Mmmmm thank you for the warm hugs!!
Hugs!!
I'm reminded of the time I had to bring in a boat dock, from a lake in northern MI, in Oct.
I wore a sweatshirt over my bathing suit and my feet got so numb, I could walk on acorns without feeling them!
Brrrrrr
Oh my goodness!! How did you manage?!?! Water in Oklahoma has to be at least 20 degrees warmer than water in MI!! You were literally freezing!! You poor thing. Big hugs!!!
What a heroic pond day! You braved the chill, wrestled with monster lilies, and still had the grace to apologize to the fish — that’s peak Pony. Sounds like a wild mess and a beautiful success all at once. Hope you’re warming up and feeling proud!
I was so blessed and lucky! I anticipated it to be awful and it was good. I love when tasks are better than what I expected.
Hugs!!
It must have been cold in that pond.
I assume the pond water was cold. Once I started working though, I was plenty warm.
Hugs!!
And that is why I don't buy any type of plant that needs to be dug up for winter. If it's in the ground, it's staying there. I just don't have the time this time of year. Good job for you, though!! Your pond is beautiful!
The fragile plants are supposed to stay IN their pots. I knew it had tipped over, I had no idea it would try to permanently root itself in. Big, big lesson for me. What should have taken a half hour to lift out the Taro and Cannas became so much more wrestling with the feral lily, LOL. And it was all my fault for slacking off. I will do better.
Hugs!!!
A productive day. Everything we put value on takes lots of work to maintain. You are an amazing lady...Hugs
You are wise. Thank you!! You are so right. I do value my pond and it's plants. It is an escape for me.
Thank you for the kind words.
Hugs!!
