It was windy and chilly today. I had to dig out some work pants, LOL.
This afternoon I sorted and separated my Taro plants. There were so many baby plants!! I used all 20 of the new pots and need more. I may be giving away plants this spring. Or I will just let my pond be a tropical jungle again, LOL. It is a good problem to have 
Since there is a frost - freeze alert I pushed to get everything done. I repotted until I ran out of pots, And dirt! LOL. Everything was sprayed with Neemoil. It is supposed to be anti bacterial and kill all stages of bugs. I didn't use it last year and we did have some tiny bugs that lived with the plants all winter. I am hoping this will handle that issue. Then I loaded the pots into big totes and brought them in the house. They are now relaxing under grow lights.
Can you imagine if we were tropical and brought in away from bad weather? How spoiled would we be?
Some of us avoid hot. Others avoid cold.
If someone was trying to spoil you, where would you be?
I would be in the mountains with a clear river of hungry trout waiting to bite my line.

FWIW? Speaking of Taro, don't know if you have ever been to Kauai but there is an amazing little valley outside Hanalei on the north side of the island. As you come down the hill out of Princeville you are treated to an amazing view of the valley which with the waterfalls on the mountains in the background you see acres upon acres of taro. hanaleitaro.com
I have Hawaii on my bucket list. I bet acres of taro would be incredible!!

Having grown up in the mountains with a clear stream full of hungry trout in the backyard (literally) there is something to your notion. However, come late March or so a person still needs a break and that's why the other half of my soul runs away to Hawaii. Remember, in the high country Summer lasts all of about 4 1/2 weeks and Spring is known as Mud Season LOL. Happy plants to you! I over winter tropicals each Fall have Bougainvillea that over 20 years old and a pineapple I raised from a pup going on 6 years.
I don't like really hot or really cold, but will take cool over warm any day.
I had the same issue (tiny bugs) with a jasmine plant that I overwintered a couple of times. By the end of winter they had almost killed it and then it would rejuvenate when I put it back outside.
I hope the neem oil works for you!
Just stick my toes in the sand somewhere on a beach.

Hello Pony luv, had a late start Sunday but made it close to the VA border. Hoping to make mid Arkansas Monday. The rain though might have a say in that.

So glad you got so many plants done yesterday and your all set now for the most part. You know I would be by a beach some where being spoiled I would hope .

I've always thought "my place" was a tropical beach somewhere. But with the way the climate is changing, I'm not sure any more.
The right beach is out there. You just need good sunscreen or a good umbrella. And many beautiful women

I live in what we call the hills but flatlander would call mountains. Mountain is close by. Have a large creek through a lot of property. Again big enough to be a river. Have four seasons and it has been cold and rainy this week. Frost has already visited. Most modern stores are thirty minuets to a hour away. Have a blessed day....Hugs
