Did you go shopping today?
I stayed home to bake pies. Chocolate meringue and a crustless pumpkin pie. The crustless is new to us and an experiment. It smelled amazing. We'll see how the texture is tomorrow when we get to eat it. I licked the chocolate spoon and Yum!!! Youngest son is smoking a turkey and brisket or ham. I am so ready to eat

I never shop on black Friday. It was dinner and a concert with my offspring tonight.

I've never gone shopping on Black Friday. The past few years, we eat our Turkey dinner on Friday. Was supposed to go to my friend's 60th bday party on Saturday, but it snowed all day. We went nowhere. That pie looks delicious! How was the crustless one?
The crustless pie was good. Not as silky - all the pumpkin spice flavors!

I went to Costco to get a turkey. It's smaller than the ones I usually get but I got one anyway since I wasn't sure if I was going to get the chance to go to Costco again before Xmas.
Japan has adopted the Black Friday sales, but it lasts much longer than one day/weekend. Anything to get people to spend more. LOL

Hello Pony Luv, yes... I went shopping and did not find what I was looking for. Hitting the thrift stores today. Maybe I will have better luck. If not, it's the hardwood store. Yay.
Please tell us how the pumpkin pie goes, it sounds interesting.
Your pie looks amazing there, and the crustless pumpkin sounds delicious you will have to share with us how it turns out. That would be one I would enjoy making for sure.

Actually, my son and I did brave the local Lowes for two projects we were working on during his visit. It was early afternoon and not really all that mobbed. And, I quite sure I've never been offered help looking for stuff all this year as I was during the hour we were there. It sure seemed like every employee that had as there working!
I do like meringue pies, especially with lots of whipped cream.

Question for you. About 2.5 years ago are you the lady that got a she shed? I have a faint memory of a lady getting one back then.
@rusty_nail Yessir I did get a she shed a couple, few years back, LOL. It is a sewing space for me. We had trouble with the outside power source a few months back and hubby just restored it over the weekend. Now I can get my space up and running again
Although our Thanksgiving was in October, Black Friday sales have become popular here. I bought a lovely cardigan that was 50% off.
I think retailers will do anything to entice people to spend their money. Congrats on the cardigan!!
