Wednesday's zoo Christmas light adventure was so much fun. Baby and I linked arms and let the men follow along behind us. To be fair, both men walk very slowly. We walk briskly from one display to the next. Then we play at the display until they catch up.
Thursday, I finished decorating my tree. I declined to unbox my million plus super special or handmade tree ornaments. Not enough spoons. And no new tree.
We put up the old tree - it's factory installed lights died a decade ago. Added as many strings of blue lights as I could find. Then red tinsel. Today I finished up by tucking more than a dozen American flags among the branches. Then I added some non breakable, toddler resistant, plastic balls from the dollar store.
Oh my word. At least 6 balls from each box are sparkly. They have glitter.
Me. My clothes. My rug and floor are covered in glitter!!! Argh!!! Oh and now my vacuum container is also quite festive and sparkly, hehehe. In a few days, I bet I will see myself off putting and flushing more bits of glitter. Have I mentioned the dogs ...
Moral of the story - Don't buy sparkly, glittery items from the dollar store.

I grew up patriotic. My father enlisted in the Air Force before he graduated high school. I also have multiple military uncles and cousins. You can find flag and eagle items all over my stuff

Yeah, glitter gets EVERYWHERE. (You'd think the strippers would know that! 😡)

We will be celebrating the day after Christmas. Work and such make for busy lives. I am happy to see family on any day
