How was your weekend?
I have been beating my head against the wall this weekend.
My exercise bike reset the time and mileage while I was riding. I had to do math to record my process. I am hoping it will self correct like it did the last time this happened.
A friend lost an amazing canine friend.
My dog somehow hurt a hind leg. No clue how. I have examined it multiple times and she never pulls back or yelps. I just happen to have a vet visit already scheduled for Monday morning. It's a recheck of her inflamed eyes. This dog is going to drain my bank account.
Another friend called me a few times thru my computer. The kids were here and my laptop was not even powered up. When I found the traces, I sent a message because it was late but he had already went to bed. So I fretted overnight concerned there had been a life problem.
However, while the kids were here, we went out for steaks and ribs. Oh my word, it was delicious. I brought home most of my steak to eat today. It was huge.
The friend who called is fine. We chatted this afternoon for an hour about life.
Sunday the sun was so bright and the temps climbed well above freezing. Snow is slowly melting. Just a beautiful day all around with a glorious sunset.
The leftover steak made my lunch super fancy. I cooked jambalaya for dinner - comfort food for a cold evening. Cinnamon toast for dessert.
Monday is American Groundhog day.

I'm not sure what I will cook as I have a full day planned. I'm thinking to make some monkey bread for dessert. Obviously I am on a warm, cinnamon kick, LOL.

Problems and troubles always in life.. happy day and happy earlier valentine's
My weekend was pretty laid back. Ran some errands, did some chores, and relaxed in between....it was awesome. We finally broke out of our subzero Temps, so that made it nicer. Didn't mind being out as much with it being nicer.
The power went out here yesterday. Thank goodness it was yesterday and not the day before! My all electric house was DEAD. But it came back in about 90 minutes and since it was mid-afternoon the house had barely cooled. NO IDEA why it happened.
I just checked Phil's forecast - six more weeks of winter.
Our house is all electric too. And this is why we have a portable generator. We have had to fire it up many times since buying it 20 years ago.
I am so glad your power came back on before the house got cold.

Sounds like you had a very busy weekend, and so glad all is well with your friend. Sorry to hear about your dog, I hope she gets all fixed up and ready to go.
Your meal sounds amazing, and nothing happened here, going to be a busy start to the week here though.
And six more weeks of WINTER YEA I am so happy as we haven't really had Winter here yet.

Brr cold in the hills of southwest Va. -1 now. Was a busy day feeding cattle and thawing waters. Suppose to warm tomorrow and another system on the way. Global warming. haha Have a blessed Tuesday...Hugs
