How are you?
I woke up today. Rolled out of bed. Puddled and brushed my teeth. Then spent the next 3 hours wishing I was back in bed, LOL.
Oklahoma is having crazy high winds causing the allergy index to be ridiculous. I still wonder why anyone decided to settle here. It's hot as heck in the summer. The wind always blows and sometimes it blows you over. Or starts fires.
I was a coward and hid inside most of the day. The dogs were happy to lounge on the furniture while I sewed rows of blocks together. I was happy to accomplish something fun.
For every problem, there is a solution. Or a place to hide, hehehe.

I often wonder why people settled up here as well.
Sunday, it hit -22 °F, and the roads were skating rinks.
Yesterday it was up to 41 °F, and we were all out there romping around in our spring gear.😶
Early explorers must have been fond of maple syrup fountains.
Exactly!! It is SO cold! How did they survive back in the dark days?

As spring is getting near, we're seeing more wind. The pine pollen season is starting, causing suffering for the poor souls who are allergic to pine pollen.

The wind can really cause severe allergies like here now the trees are already blooming that I am allergic too so I am now once again taking my allergy meds. I hope you don't have to deal with the allergies like I do.

Hello Pony Luv, we are having a wind storm here in Sin City as well. The house creaks and groans as it blows, the fireplaces moan like crazy. Then there is driving in this weather. It's bad enough on a normal, calm day, throw in some weather and people's mental switch flips to stupid and off they go. Sigh.

We are under a winter storm warning ….freezing rain, ice pellets, snow and strong winds. My priest made the rare decision to cancel our in-person morning Ash Wednesday service. However it will be conducted on Zoom 🙏
Ohhh Ash Wednesday services need to be in person. I can't imagine it on zoom. Better than anyone being frozen though.

@PonyGirl1965 Yes, in person is ideal. Overall, it went well…there were a few things, such as communion that had to be skipped. Those who participated said it reminded then of how services were held during Covid.
