How are you?

Today was a magnificent day. The sky was clear. Temps were high 70's to low 80's. Just a small breeze.
I spent the day working outside. Trees were trimmed. Weeds and grasses pulled from around the pond. Lots of landscaping work.

While trimming my willow tree, I spotted a road runner crossing the front horse field. I froze, then very slowly slid behind the willow so I could watch him. I was shocked he hadn't ran for his life. Then I saw what he was watching ... A squirrel zipping the opposite direction. He was running fast from the driveway trees to the pond trees. The roadrunner and I watched him race. He got lucky - no hawk swooped down to snatch him up.

Hawks are predators and they do live here. I pointed one out to Cowboy on Wednesday. A gorgeous Red Tailed Hawk was perched on the corral fence. They eat moles, voles, random vermin. And small pets if available. This is why we can't have kittens

Later I sat down on the patio to rest and get a drink. A male Cardinal was sitting in a nearby tree conversing with his lady friend. He sang out. She answered a moment later from a tree near the front gate. They repeated this conversation several times. At the end of each call, his tail twitched with his final chirps. It was sweet.

Made me think of a mans erection twitching as he is teased
