How was your day?
School is starting and the informal summer is wrapping up. Oklahoma and surrounding states will soon host county fairs. Small towns have festivals of various sorts. The watermelon festival was a day of seed spitting and juicy melons.
Some festivals though are created to handle the offput of local ranching.
Yes, my hungry friends, it will soon be ball cutting season. Gotta get past the worst of the fly season before castration.
And we cannot waste the bull balls!
So they get fried up and served with hush puppies, cornbread, home fries, cole slaw, all sorts of tasty sides.

I'm quite aware of "Rocky Mountain Oysters" but - PASS!
Around here right now it's all about sunflower fields. REALLY screwed up a few years back. This was this one pregnant local lady from this site that wanted some nekkie pictures in a sunflower field, but somehow we just never pulled it off. 😒
I've never tried them. Aren't they deep fried? I don't do deep fried. Thank goodness.
So far, I have only seen them deep fried. I guess you could cook them however you like

I do save them, takes a lot of time preparing them for frying but they are delicious.
