TIP BUTTON PERMANENTLY REMOVED FROM PROFILES
Good morning, Happy Fun Friday everyone. As most of you
know I do a NFL U PICK'EM CONTEST on my blog for those
who enjoy the NFL.
When I tried to reward last weeks winners I could not so I
contacted the site Via Chat. And asked them what happened
to the Tip Button and this was the response I got:
Our Programming Department has been notified of the issue and will look
into this matter as soon as possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
This will be resolved within today.
I had waited two days and then yesterday I emailed the site and asked
them what is going on with the TIP BUTTON and this morning I had
an email off site with this response:
Dear Member,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
We wanted to inform you that the "Tip" button functionality has been
removed from the site. As a result, sending tips on profiles is no longer available.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and
understand the impact it might have on your interactions with members.
If there’s anything else we can assist you with or if you have suggestions
on how we can improve your experience, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!
Now I am very upset that I can't give last weeks winners their points or
the next two weeks that are left. Unless someone comes up with a way
for me to do so. As I checked IM as well and it's not available either to
give points anymore.
I have to say this is very disheartening for me as I so enjoy giving members
points by have contests, and trivia games on my blogs.
I have reach out to Andrew this morning by email here to ask him to help
and if I get a response from him I will share that with you all as well.
Again my apologies to my NFL winners, but this is beyond my control.
I would like to ask everyone for your thoughts about this recent change
that is going to affect everyone in some way. As standard members most
definitely will be affected by this as they won't be able to check emails,
profiles, watch cams, anything you need to do that entails using points
will be affected.

I'm crossing my fingers that Andrew will get this fixed. Gifting points is harmless. And fun

I hear you hun but I have yet to hear back from him. This needs to be brought back as members will be leaving if they aren't able to function on the site.
There is absolutely no harm in gifting points as they truly help especially the standard members as points are needed to anything here on the site for them.

My question is since they merged the IM and messaging and one can't give points- why don't they just make it free for everyone?!!
Hello and welcome to my blog, thank you for stopping in to see about the Tip button being permanently removed.
They will never make it free for everyone as they couldn't make money if they did. It's about having to pay for everything from what I have seen.

This was discussed in Club 7 a few days ago....site support rationalized it by saying they lowered the IM/Mail fee to 15 points . Still makes no sense to me. Ugh ~
I know right how can people pay with points if there is no way to give members points anymore. It's truly a sad day for me as I so enjoy helping members out here especially with points.

After all of the "hope and change" that Andrew promised, things do indeed appear to be regressing around here, from removed/changed features to increased technical problems. (And as an IT guy myself, I still don't care for the concept of mashing the IM and message systems into a single entity, though I can't say I'll miss the old, bug-ridden IM system!) The most disheartening thing I've seen is that after the initial flurry of postings on Andrew's blog, he's gone radio silent again and has deleted all of those previous postings. Not a good sign. I was considering extending my gold membership after it expires in April due to Andrew's promises, but I'm now reconsidering that course of action once again as I feel like it'd be nothing more than throwing money down a sewer. 😢
I hear you and agree and I said this from the very beginning that things weren't going to change for the better and I have been proven right so far. It's sad that it's come to this as it's hard enough to communicate with members as points are needed for just about everything these days.
I did reach out to Andrew about this issue and I am still waiting to see if I hear back from him. You know it's all about the money I think because most of the posts I saw about the changes had to deal with just that like helping with a membership plan. To me that's just not going to suffice to make the site better.

Yes I do believe that was one of the most insane things they have done so far. It will make it even more hard to communicate with members.

Sure, you can still send them points by buying them a gift, which of course costs more. I think the cheapest gift is 200 points? And of course you can still only buy a maximum of 1,000 points at one time, i.e. no price break for buying 2,000 or 10,000 or more, which people surely will be doing now that they can't give their points away 25 or 50 at a time...

It's so true and I hate that this has happened because I have helped so many members on the site with points.

Thank you for sharing that I was wondering if they get the points from the gift to use, or get the gift? Because if they get the points I don't mind giving extra to award them what they won.

Yes it does and it's going to affect everyone for the most part as points are needed to do so many things here these days. I had something big planned for Christmas Day for all my wonderful watchers, now that is not going to happen now sadly

You know my friend things have not gotten better only worse, and I don't understand why as I thought Andrew wanted to make better changes and not these kind that affect so many. I hope I hear from him too as I want this decision to be reversed.

@Leegs2012 Me too my friend but it hasn't changed for the better so far, but this is just so wrong on so many levels of the site, it's hard enough to communicate with others and this is making it even harder,..

The site is regressing again!
This is bad my friend for everyone, how are members supposed to communicate without points now. You know I feel terrible that this happened as I can't even award last weeks winners, and the two I have going now. I hope you all still want to play.
