for standard members, they are playing with the community dropdowns now, lots of people seem to have who can contact me turned on so i can't message them, for whos hot: hottest photos and hottest albums, they are not allowing you to get some of the selections from your profile location, have to change location to another town near you, and then there are the fakes that enter daily, they chat and message one day then contact is removed

Could it be that the site is auto-renewing or re-activating everything all of a sudden? What I'm referring to is that I received the following message ".... Your Icebreaker has been approved and your Gold membership has been activated. You're all set. ...." What? I already have a (complimentary) gold. And what's that go to do with an Icebreaker?
Thanks for sharing hun the site told me in an email they discontinued the Ice Breaker when I inquired about it. I don't know why they told you that and told me something different I find that rather interesting.

@Tmptrzz I know that I have complimentary gold since my first year here, which was ten years ago, as long as I remain active. It's not a new thing.
But I have no idea what an Icebreaker is. If it's a new thing applied to my profile I certainly didn't ask for it.
@missthee Missthee hun that's the free gold I was referring to that's what the site called the Ice Breaker, I miss my free gold as I have been a very active member for over 20 years and it helps me do a lot of things here which I am no longer able too.

Since stories of auto-renew getting mysteriously turned back on, back when I was a paying member after my renewal was processed I'd go in and modify the credit card number to an invalid one. This site is too low-tech to even spot that the number was not valid.
That's a smart thing you did as I am sure you remember one of the lady members who had issues with them double and triple charging her for her membership when she was here. I sure miss her lots she was a great blogger.
