Good morning everyone, yesterday MrRareity sent me
this email about some things that's happening with
the site again and he asked me to blog about it.
So I have decided to share his email with you all
so you know what's happening once again with
the site.
Hi Tmp, could you please do me a favor and write a post
(you can even use my name if you want) telling people
to check there setting about renewing things like gold status,
or allowing anyone to contact you. Both of these setting were off.
I got an email from the site telling me they were going to be renewed.
When I went to the site I saw that both were turned on to renew
my gold membership, and allowing standard members to contact me
(it's been well over 6 months). I had turned both of them off
and almost left the site for good because of it.
This is wrong and people need to know what is happening.
So there you all have it and I hope it's helps you all understand
what else that has been happening with the site.

for standard members, they are playing with the community dropdowns now, lots of people seem to have who can contact me turned on so i can't message them, for whos hot: hottest photos and hottest albums, they are not allowing you to get some of the selections from your profile location, have to change location to another town near you, and then there are the fakes that enter daily, they chat and message one day then contact is removed

Could it be that the site is auto-renewing or re-activating everything all of a sudden? What I'm referring to is that I received the following message ".... Your Icebreaker has been approved and your Gold membership has been activated. You're all set. ...." What? I already have a (complimentary) gold. And what's that go to do with an Icebreaker?
Thanks for sharing hun the site told me in an email they discontinued the Ice Breaker when I inquired about it. I don't know why they told you that and told me something different I find that rather interesting.

@Tmptrzz I know that I have complimentary gold since my first year here, which was ten years ago, as long as I remain active. It's not a new thing.
But I have no idea what an Icebreaker is. If it's a new thing applied to my profile I certainly didn't ask for it.
@missthee Missthee hun that's the free gold I was referring to that's what the site called the Ice Breaker, I miss my free gold as I have been a very active member for over 20 years and it helps me do a lot of things here which I am no longer able too.

I did see that once and then it disappeared from my page. Not sure what is happening with that but a discount would be nice especially for people who are on a fixed income. Thanks for sharing this with us.

So true my friend I don't know why the site doesn't alert us with announcements at the top of our home pages anymore like they used to that would be such a big help at times.

Thanks to both for letting us know. I suspect a big shiny new gimmick is coming because it's all very glitchy again.
As a work around, and to prevent them from stealing my money without my permission, I have incorrect and out of date card details on my profile.

There is always something happening here and do they let us know about it NO!! They used to have a survey they would send around to us but that doesn't happen anymore either!!

@mufdiver69er2 You know I can't use my bling either and I reported it now over two months ago and it's still not fixed..
Since stories of auto-renew getting mysteriously turned back on, back when I was a paying member after my renewal was processed I'd go in and modify the credit card number to an invalid one. This site is too low-tech to even spot that the number was not valid.
That's a smart thing you did as I am sure you remember one of the lady members who had issues with them double and triple charging her for her membership when she was here. I sure miss her lots she was a great blogger.

I'm aware of the site turning auto-renew on when it's set for off. But it seems there's no depth that the site will plumb, or should it be plummet?!
You know what my friend, I wish you had of shared that then too. I didn't realize what was going on until he emailed me and asked me to blog about it and share it with everyone.
