TNVS mid month challege 7 origin story

So I am stuck in a motel room for months thousands of miles from home. Not a lot of amenities or local thing to do. So playing on the computer one night an ad pops up. Bored as I am I click it. "Oh ok it's free" I joined sure with the intention I would be surprised if I stayed a week. It was back when the was three categories of members. Basic. Silver, and Gold. You could earn points to redeem for a month of Silver or even gold if you saved up enough. Just fill out you profile, write a response to a blog, write a blog, post a picture with your handle in the photo with you. All of these different things worth different amounts of points. I tried one of the main chatrooms. Oh hell no. The conversations were flying by and people were rude. Almost quit right there. But I discovered an interesting group that had it's own chatroom. People were cool and friendly and there were a lot of ladies. A few in the group talked me into taking pics and posting them on my profile. All discreet and tame. No shirt and just jeans on. The nice comments were enough to get me thinking what else could I be brave enough to do. Anyway between the sweet ladies that chatted with me and my first friend request from one of them I though I might stay another week. Then I discovered the group posts. This is what kept me here. They were playing hangman and with these letters. Two games I enjoyed. I was signing in to play them daily. The people who played were fun to play with and the games interesting. If it hadn't been for this one particular group I would have left AFF. Still play hangman in this groups but unfortunately many of the original people are long gone from AFF. I met for drinks with one of these great ladies after being on AFF for over a year. My first meet. Nothing other that great stories and insight into this site. But it was a big step for someone shy like me. And that's my origin story.
