I had someone I know make unauthorized use a gift card of mine to buy product off amazon and one other place. They got card info by assisting me on their phone to activate card. Does anyone know if this is considered a felony? Wire fraud? Less than 150.00. Money is not the issue as much as trust factor since it was a gift card I won and not my bank card. Still - I am not happy I was used and victimized by someone I WAS friendly with (female). I know I'll never get it back, but she needs to be taught a lesson. We were not sleeping together, never did

It’s not a felony because it’s under a certain amount, I believe. Wire fraud, maybe. I’m not an attorney. You have file a police report- they’ll go after her assuming you can prove it.
Oh I can prove it- I have the card and purchase receipt with her name, phone number, her home address products were shipped to. Plus a witness that know it was my card. If I was a real asshole- I might try to get her arrested but I recovered most of it from card issuer thru fraud use report. Karma will take care of the rest. You get what you do!
