Happy HNW you all. Tis "fuzzing snow" right now and is expected to snow all day. I am hoping we get several inches as with one exception all we have gotten so far this season are dustings. I joke that Florida has gotten season to date than we in Madison have.
Well, I got my pictures taken and mostly sorted on Sunday evening/night and am amazed I did it so early. Early did not help me whittle the candidates down to one. In fact I think it made the choosing harder. At any rate here they are and as usual with commentary.
I had some pictures of me seated but decided I liked the standing ones better. I thought I would start with what is perhaps the most demure picture I took so you may note the Valentiney items on the table and the pink with sheer stripes thong on the chair. I had also am holing a book of love poetry to get into the picture. No doubt some of you will be sliding by not noticing these details as you look for the more indiscreet shots.
I thought I would progress to another picture only showing a small smile and a bit of me teasing if you look closely. I could have started with this picture but I liked the intent look on my face in the the first picture.
I chose to include this picture as it gave the clearest view of the poetry book's title not because of where my thong is hanging but I expect that some may notice its position before they note the book title.

I chose this picture because I thought it showed me wearing the best smile, with one possible exception, of all the pictures I took.
Before I go into a bit about that exception I would like to say that Diane and I are still as much in love as ever. Last Wednesday evening I had her over to do some listening to music and do some soul cuddling. I even made us supper. It was nothing fancy but was something she will sometimes have as a treat. I fried up some hot dogs in my cast iron skillet which is the second best way to do a hot dog. The best way is to roast them over hot coals. Had buns, mustard ketchup and chips to go with an viola! a fun easy meal. A couple scoops of Carmel Toffee crunch ice cream on top of slices of the coconut pecan frosted German chocolate cake with Rod Stewart hit songs playing in the backround and I can say the meal was a success. We retired to the living room and listened to several other CDs sometimes just taking the music in. Sometimes we talked about the music and sometimes about the memories the music evoked. She is a Moody Blues fan too and I had a CD of some of their music she had not heard before. It was one from late in their career and we talked of how the experience of being older seemed to be reflected in the songs. We also listened to Adele an artist we both love. Such passion in her songs. Had Diane choose the music and she also chose the greatest hits of the Mamas and the Papas. They were very big when we were in High school. We would have danced but Diane's sprained foot was still not up to it. Surprising how when your souls are as close as ours we could still have them cuddling without the close touch of dancing. She could not stay the night but wanted to. She had not planned on it so did not have her insulin or other meds. At least our time together helped us de-stress from the news.
We got together again on Saturday for brunch and a bit of a ramble then back to her place where I could give her a relaxing massage before we took a long nap. Her foot is much improved though it is not quite up to any long or even medium walks. I will have to get this done soon as I shall be meeting her and a good woman friend for brunch this morning. It is almost 10 and I will need to take a bath or shower and get dressed. It I was not going out I expect I would just stay naked all day and occasionally watch the snow come down.
I mentioned that one of the above pictures may have had the second best smile of all the I took. That one was of those I took sitting in my recliner wearing a red shirt but no thong. I almost posted it and a couple of the other seated pictures but as the one with that smile also had me showing my bits, or is that bob?, in a somewhat pointed condition. There was one that would have been much more discreet and likely a good smile too, or at least an interesting expression, but the camera was positioned a wee bit low and took the top of my head off. I am thinking what the heck, after this verbal tease I may as well post the pictures but as usual in the first comment as I have no idea if they are going to limit how many pictures will eventually be allowed before they cut me off.
Well, Diane called and said our guest for brunch canceled and so she is canceling too. No worry as we plan on going out to supper tomorrow evening and I will likely overnight at her place. Meanwhile I think I shall bundle up and get out for a walk in the snow in a hour or so. I do not expect much more than a 2-3 inches but am hoping for more so the grass is well covered. It does look beautiful out. So must finish this and do my comment with pictures.

When the rational side has trouble choosing between two pictures it going with the gut feeling usually works best. I think sometimes I may overthink a theme.

I like the first pic the best. It feels less planned...more nonchalant.
I agree that it looks not as posed and that is one reason I chose it. That and the fact that the bits are covered well enough that one has to look hard to tell they are not quite.

@justskin1 It started snowing about 2:30 and it should keep going the rest of the day.
@superbjversion2 It started snowing her about 8:00am and has continued with varying intensity without stopping. Weather channel says they have an unofficial total of only about 3.8 inches. Went grocery shopping the pm and the roads were very slick. Supposed to stop here around midnight with maybe another inch or two.

How deep our connection is continues to amaze me. I know that part of it is a certain similarity in our backrounds but it is perhaps more connected to that fact that we have had enough experiences in life to be not be judgemental. That leads to more trust which lets us show the deep parts of our souls to each other. I sometimes wonder just how unusual our connection is. If there are more couples who connections are just as deep but they are not on here. If this place tends to draw more people who lack that connection or the ability to make such a one at least at this time in their life. (I am fairly sure I could not have two or three decades ago.)
Thank you for your concern/interest in Diane's foot healing. I have mentioned to her that you and others have sent their best wishes for a speedy healing.
Well, I think I shall finally put some clothes on, bundle up and go out for a walk in the snow.

We are currently under a snowfall ❄️warning. Snow started falling almost 3 hours ago.
@sexyldy1000 It has been snowing here since about 8:00am and now at about 6:00pm we have only unofficially gotten just under 4 inches and can expect maybe 2inches more before it stops at midnight. May you not get too much snow and not have to go out while the roads are slick.

@justskin1 The amount of snow we will get is uncertain. Could be between 6 and 9.5 inches. My concern is the possibility of being mixed with ice pellets. Fortunately, I did extra grocery shopping so am well supplied. I plan to stay put. More snow is expected on Saturday into Sunday.

Here are the seated HNW pictures I spoke of almost using.
This first picture I felt had my best smile and I would have used it for my official HNW photo if it was not so pointedly indiscreet and though titillating for some perhaps less so for others.
Now I think this second picture might have had as good smile showing as the first and is much more discreet I felt that since the book got in the way of showing the part of my smile that was on my lips, but not the smile, or is that merriment, in my eyes: it would not work. Now I am not so sure of that assessment. BTW I see I misspoke in my post about the reason I did not use this picture. I confused it with the usual reason I do not use a picture where I have a good smile, that is chopped the top of my head off not chopped the smile off leaving the rest of my head.
This third picture completes the seated series of HNW pictures I took. I liked the expression on my face and that it showed some differences in the details of the pictures. You might notice that I am wearing a slightly different red shirt. I had to change as shortly after taking the second picture I happened to pull the pink thong off of the table and it splashed melted wax on the shirt I was wearing. Note in the first picture the thong's strap is around the base of one of the candle holders. I also changed the thong on the lamp because when checking the pictures on my laptop I felt that red lace one would just be more interesting.
So, there you have what could be called my alternate HNW picture post. I hope my explanations for these choices did not bore you but I noticed that some did find such interesting in the past. I also admit I enjoy giving the explanations and am not doing them to compete with Spunky for wordiest posts.
