In my last post I said Diane was picking me up to go to the the art galleries in the Civic Center downtown. I did barely managed to get dressed, have a sandwich and be ready before she showed up. Before going to see the art we stopped at a higher end art supply shop as Diane needed to pick up a few supplies. From there we moved on to the Civic Center and enjoyed viewing the art in 3 different gallery areas. They have a couple of more formal galleries but we just went to the ones that are basically long hallways going from one part of the center to another. The artwork in these galleries are dedicated to local/regional artists and changed out with the four seasons. Some of the work is awesome though not always in our favorite styles. When we go to these we love to analyze what makes this or that piece good or may be lacking. We can even get down to how this part works great but that bit not so much or say why we like this piece over that one. Most of the art was very good and both of us took some pictures. I had intended to do a post of that trip with a picture or three but just did not get to it.
After a couple of hours of this we wandered up the street to a favored coffee shop, Michaelangelo's. Had some coffee, cake and a hot bagel sandwich along with lively conversation. We can always find so many things to talk about and the conversation can wander all over with some surprising connections. Diane was not having one of her more energetic days so she dropped me off at home and drove home alone. Was okay as I had some things I needed to get done too.
Friday Diane called me about 1:30 pm,shortly after I got home from finally doing my laundry, to ask if I would like to join her and a couple of mutual friends at 3:00 for coffee and pastry one of our favorite coffee shop/ bakeries near her place. We are both good at doing fun things on the fly. I had not seen the other two for a while and we had a good time. We did not get to stay together after but made plans for brunch and a ramble for Sunday.
Sunday I picked her up and we went to one of our regular breakfast places, Luke's in McFarland. One reason for picking that place is it is on the way to Stoughton and our favorite St Vinnie's. PonyGirl, they still had the rows and rows of quilts, blankets and fancy worked linens out. When we got back to Diane's place I gave her feet a long delayed massage after first stripping down to what Diane feels is my proper massage outfit. Just a sheer thong. Diane had some art supplies, paintings moved around as well as some areas where the cats frequent that she dare not get on a stool or ladder to clean. The management where she lives were going to be showing up for an inspection this week so I had volunteered to help her with that. She said she would let do so if I would do in wearing just a thong so she could take pictures while laying on the bed wearing as little as I was. Those are referred to in this blog's title and here they are.
Diane's place is short on space for finished art and art supplies so her bedroom is kind of overstuffed. Here I am climbing up on the bed to get to some of her stored artwork and to clean up the shelving her cats regard as their looking out the window territory.
As long as I was rummaging around moving things and cleaning up the art shelving I felt I might as well wash the window the cats love looking out of and slowly leaving it less than pristine. You might look at where I am standing and rightly think it is not them most stable of perches. You would be right.
In this picture I was shifting myself to move some of the pictures and such on top of the shelving you see. Just after Diane took this picture I lost my balance and started to fall. Fortunately, I did manage to drop one foot to the floor and Diane moved to stop me from falling backwards and get my balance. Scared the heck out of her and reminded her why she dare not try to move things or clean those shelves. Fortunately neither one of us was hurt.
This shot was taken after my mishap and I decided to move something so I could keep one foot on the floor while kneeling on the other leg on the bed. Diane said she liked the bit of expression she could see on my face so I am including it here.
I know this is a very strange looking picture but as it might amuse you I though I would include it. The strangeness is caused by the forced perspective of Diane taking the picture while laying on the bed near my feet. It is funny how the eye or brain adjusts for such in life but cannot do so from a picture. I had moved some of boxed of various large sheets of artist watercoloring and drawing paper so I could clean the cabinet top. It can get to needing it on a regular basis as both of Diane's cats love sitting and sleeping up there. The old shelving and cabinets that I replaced when I put together the shelving you see in the other pictures let the cats get to the top of that cabinet. You may have noticed parts of the white ramp going from the shelving to this cabinet. I when I took down that cabinet the shelving replaced I used part of it to make that ramp so the cats could still perch up there.
After I had finished the moving and cleaning up Diane and I stayed in bed and enjoyed the bliss. When we awoke it was dark and there was a glorious tiny sliver of a moon to be seen outside her bedroom window with a very bright planet, either Jupiter or Venus not too far from it. Diane said it was almost on top of the moon the night before when she called me to tell me about it. Sadly my windows do not face West so I could see it and I did not feel like putting clothes on to go outside to look.
Well, now you are up to date on Diane and my outings. I hope you enjoyed the tales. I shall be posting some in the mirror pictures tomorrow for HNW. Spent a good part of yesterday taking them, reviewing them and then taking more as what may look okay showing on the phone camera looks different as a larger picture on the computer.
Hope you all have a great day today.

You do look very tall in that last pic! So nice of you to help out Diane.
It does give the illusion of me having very very long legs. I have to say that I do not think of it as being nice. It just seems to be just something one does for a friend or lover. (Of course she is both.)
Sending you big naked hugs as I watch it snowing outside.
Neither of you can ill afford taking a tumble. Be careful!
Too true! Beds make for lousy platforms to stand on.
Sending big naked hugs.
You look 8 ft tall in the last pic

The quilts are worth the asking price. The average thrifter though, wants them to be less than $100. Thrifty is thrifty
I love that you helped Diane by cleaning. Doing the most humble of chores shows our devotion and love. You are an incredible man. <3
Hugs!!!
The quilts are certainly worth a lot more than the asking price but it is a thrift store so most are undervalued.
Diane just dare not get up on a step, ladder or chair. She has balance issues. Has enough trouble dealing with curbs. I feel that I have the time and ability to do such things for her so I do them, but I try to be careful about not stepping on her toes by doing things she can do.
Funny, I do not feel incredible. I just try to be kind and aware of other peoples needs. Like you I am a giving sort of person. One of the hardest things both Diane and I have had to learn to do is accept help. Especially when we need it.
Sending big hugs to you who are a most incredible woman.
My clutterless soul is just cringing! I'm thinking it's time for Diane to get rid of stuff or rent a small storage unit.
One of the big problems is she can't afford a storage unit and most of her art supplies and finished art need a heated environment. Part of what I was doing was moving stuff for disposal.
I'll look forward to seeing your mirror pictures tomorrow.
Nice to hear you say that. As usual I expect I shall be posting two or three in a comment as in some I am very much less than half covered. Er, dressed.
Hope you are having a good day.
