MUSICAL SEASON
Why do I let them talk me into these musicals??? We're in tech week for Little Mermaid, and the hours are L - O - N - G. The day starts at 7:30am, doing all your classes, then staying until however long it takes. Last night they didn't feed us dinner until 8:00pm, then they said the orchestra pit could leave. I would've skipped the dumb dinner and headed straight home if I'd have known. Finally got home at 9:30.

I decided that I'm skipping the early mornings this week. My director can handle a few classes by himself. I'm beat. We open Thursday night, and strike everything after Saturday night's show. Please hurry... The only thing I'm looking forward to, is my brother, his wife and granddaughters, my daughter and grandson are all coming to the show Friday night. The littles will all get to sit with each other. Can't wait to see their reactions.

I found a "surprise" yesterday in our office. My director lets the students/anyone use our microwave. I found 1/4" of hardened grease all over the inside of the microwave and on the table it sits on. WTF!! Can no one clean up after themselves anymore????

That's my rant. I suppose I need to get ready and slowly get to work.

Yeah...but most people that do the late nights don't have to get up at 5 for their full time job. I'm getting too old for this! hahahaha

I can only presume the answer to the question of "Why do I let them talk me into these musicals???" is because you enjoy doing them. OK, not all parts of them (obviously), but you do enjoy watching the little ones grow and learn from the experience. I'm pretty sure thats called being a teacher.
