Life after losing Sophie

Yesterday morning when I woke, my house seemed so empty and so still. She never made a lot of noise anyway, but the change was deafening. Nothing. Took her to be cremated. They let me sit with her for a bit. I held her little cold tight body to me and kissed the top of her head, trying to accept the fact I would never ever hold her again. I will get her back on Friday and I will have her forever. Not the way I want but I will sit her on my nightstand so I can talk to her, see her and always love her. Last night, I had a breakdown, thinking of her little body by herself in a cold storage. I know she's not 'there' but she never spent the night away from home unless i was with her. that just ravaged me thinking of her ...

yesterday was a good day. a local to my area Thrift store always puts there inventory half price for the holidays. even if you get there early, forget about trying to get out of the joint for hours. for some reason, they only had 2 cashiers working the better part of the morning. so stupid to not being better prepared. frustrating. i had a full basket of half priced items. i kept perusing the store in hope of finding items. the line was wrapped around the parameter of the store. by the time i felt like i had looked at what i could and got in line, i had literally reduced my cart to less than half as to what was in it. i had carefully researched all my items for profit capability and pared it down. i still ended up spending over 70 bux ...
