I did not know the story about Teddy Pendergrass. I would like to say I heard the story about Phil Collins but I wasn't sure. Still an amazing accomplishment.
This was my early adulthood. I remember being at the beach watching this at my mom and dad's house there. My friend and I were watching it searching the screen and laughing, wondering where our friend Leah was because we knew she was there. She worked for Capital Records, and we knew she was there somewhere.
That day made my music heart swell.
The generation before me had woodstock and my generation had live aid

I was too young, and two states away from NY, for Woodstock.
