I awoke to the sound of my kitchen being rifled through.... Items being knocked to the floor.
I was pissed!!
I knew EXACTLY what was going on!
"I told you NO! I was NOT going to support this problem ANYMORE!"
Yelling, I jumped out of bed and stormed into the kitchen.
"I said no! Junkies do this kind of stuff!! What are you doing?? Look at yourself!"
Staring down at the floor, she knew she had been caught.
"Meow"
I shook my head with disdain and started to scoop up the cat treats that had spilled all over the kitchen floor.
"Tilly Cat - You are BETTER than this!!"
Apparently she was not....
Because the moment I started scooping them up, she started eating as many as she could, as fast as she could.
It was a traumatizing scene.
Even more so when, within 5 minutes of the event, I found her overdosed with treats, laying immobile on the living floor.
Do I call a vet??
Do I let her enjoy the coma as a reward for her thieving treat addiction??
Good Times!
Yah.... not.
At least this episode didn't involve me cleaning up cat puke!

We used to have 2 cats that opened up the kitchen cabinet pulled out the box of treats. Pulled a packet out of the box, tore open the packet, and feasted.
I believe it. I've seen Tilly claw through a treat bag the moment my back was turned.

We have to keep ours in the pantry. At least we thought that would help. The pantry has a door handle, one that can be manipulated with a cat paw that has a long reach. The cat that can open it doesn't even like the treats. The other one does. So one cat opens it for the other. They are conspiring!
Cats are tricky!! Smart, little creatures.... That cracks me up.
My dogs would do that if I spilled or dropped stuff, like treats or food. It’s really hilarious watching them eat so fast isn’t it? Except like you said, when they barf after.

Looks like you need a child safety lock for the cat treat cupboard. A sweetie of mine has a cat that leads you to the treat cupboard when it's time to go to bed. He's a funny cat.
