Here's a meme I've been saving for a while and today is the perfect occasion!
Speaking of boobs falling out...yesterday I wore one of my new sports tops to yoga class. You notice that I called it a sport "top" instead of a sport "bra". It's pretty unstructured - basically just a fairly tight fitting crop top. Very comfortable because of that lack of structure. And perfectly fine as long as I remain upright. However, I happened to glance down there while I was doing downward-facing dog. Oooops! It's not like I even have that much to spill out, but reverse gravity definitely wasn't working in my favor. I'll have to see if I can replicate the effect for a future HNW.
Meanwhile, here's boobs falling out while reading.
The book is my current book club selection. It's a fictionalized biography novel about the German writer Thomas Mann. Much of the novel so far is about his repressed homosexuality (bisexuality maybe? he did manage to produce six children with his wife). The depiction of awkward crushes on boy classmates during his school days was particularly vivid. Trying to discern whether the interest was returned...in one case presenting the object of his crush with a poem, only to be rejected.
I've never read any of Thomas Mann's actual work. The Magic Mountain has been lurking around on my to-read list for a while, maybe I'll have to finally dig in.

The artists' renderings of women reading make me laugh. They had to have been men who painted them. Have to also wonder if those sports tops were ever field tested..again, likely by men, lol.
To be fair, the crop top is from North Face and I assume they think that their customers are doing upright activities like hiking, and didn't think about possible yoga scenario. Although, I suppose one could conceivably end up upside down while rock climbing!
He certainly lived during an interesting and volatile period in history.

How many chapters did you read in the six hours it took for your post to appear live?
The chapters are long, but I could have read several! But reading tends to be more of a night time thing for me. Yesterday I was lunching with friends, talking to my investment firm, doing laundry, etc. (and repetitively refreshing my alerts page haha!!).
Yeah all those old pics of women’s boobs falling out while reading made me wonder just how active a reader they were. Like, were they acting out all the scenes? Because when I’m reading, I don’t move enough for a boob to fall out.

I've never read Thomas Mann either. German artworks are all pretty angsty, don't you think? And the philosophy! It feels like you're wading through wet cement on Jupiter. There should have been Nuremberg trials just for Nietzsche alone.
But let's concentrate on the errant boob instead. It's so much more pleasant!
Now that you mention it, I’m not sure I’ve read anything by a German writer. Maybe an Irish writer writing about a German writer is better. 😃
I do recall going to see the opera Lohengrin with a friend who got free tickets from her parents, and nearly expiring of boredom.

Yeh, what is with those classic art paintings. Apparently boobs were popping out with wardrobe malfunctions long before Janet Jackson's! BTW, Yours are looking lovely today dear.
Also, classic art features lots of naked women hanging around with clothed men. It’s almost as if all of the painters and collectors were men.

@nosos68 apparently they're only visible to me. After I submit a post, the site scans it for "key words" and then adds them as tags. I guess so that if someone was searching on that term, my post would be in their search results.
