Fabulous socks!! You look quite sexy in your socks. Not chunky. Just my opinion
Hugs!
Thank you โค๏ธ
Love the socks! ๐
Yes, we've done the socks theme before. It's been a while, tho.
OK, well I guess I'm set if it ever rolls around again. ๐
On a daily basis, I walk 8-10 KMs and when working, am on my feet 8-10 hrs. I couldnโt manage without comfortable, non-nylon socks and comfortable shoes. Am glad, the sock industry now provides much better options!
Yes, about half of my sock drawer is athletic socks for walking and hiking. My new faves are Bombas, very soft and cushy (but pricey).
"Who wants to walk around pulling up your socks all day?"
True enough but I could watch it all day!
Love your new stockings.
A new subgenre of porn! "Women pulling up their falling down thigh highs"
@smartasswoman Oh, not so new!
Well, well, well ... look at your giffy self go! You can see the stripes in the stills.
I've always had trouble with winter socks, too. Most knee highs are not made for heavy calves and I've totally given up on thigh highs.
I know Socks has been its own theme but looking through my archive it had be before 2019.
Yes, I have the same problem with knee highs. I settle for mid height socks and then the elastic leaves a horrible dent in my leg! ๐ญ
Quite nice but I prefer black stockings and suspenders!
Oh you Brits! These are suspenders!
@smartasswoman No, they are braces! Hence the expression 'belt and braces'.
@easyrider4008 I give up!! ๐
I am not a tall sock fan. All my socks only cover my ankles except for like one or two pairs of thick wool socks I have for doing outside work in the winter. Funny...most of my socks are white, but I think maybe I should embrace the black socks that never get dirty. LMAO
They only get stronger!
I have to say your long legs in those long socks look marvelous. ๐
Thanks. It's because they're upside down. ๐ Gravity isn't flattering in the other direction.
@smartasswoman , to bad I couldn't see them wearing the black Sox as you stand I bet they look great as you stand๐
I can sort of see the horizontal striping.
This is what photographers call a High Dynamic Range shot - the very bright light coming through the window versus the darkness in the stockings. Some photo processing programs can stick together 3 shots taken in quick sequence to provide a more balanced exposure, and OF COURSE, these days some phones do that without even being told to.
Other options include closing the window shade, adding lighting coming from the other direction, and spot metering on the stockings. An interesting, and potentially fun, challenge for you and HWD perhaps. Nice hint of butt too!
And YES, I'm calling them stockings not socks.
Happy HNW.
Orrrr I could just pull the photo into Snapseed and adjust it, which is often what I do but didn't bother in this particular case (and am now regretting it after not one but two people mansplained how I could get better results).......
OK, I'm back. This one did require some pretty extreme adjustments - I had to move the "ambience" slider all the way to the right. Also the "shadows" slider. And the stripes still aren't all that obvious, but at least are more visible than in the original photo I posted.
@smartasswoman Sometimes it's just explaining, not mansplaining. ๐
Yeah, that's better, though I still think a HDR exposure (which requires acknowledgement of the situation in advance and taking multiple exposures) would have worked better.
@CleavageFan4U I guess it's just a coincidence that both of the people who felt they needed to suggest how to make the photo better were men. ๐
@smartasswoman Could be. Commenters - 72% male.
Very Sexy ๐ฅ
Thanks. ๐
I can make out the stripes some. Hint or suggestion: have the light shine on your subject, legs and socks, instead of having the light come at the camera. Turn around. Light behind the camera.
Oh, I understand that perfectly well. If I had turned around,the background would have been a door. Or, the open door looking across the hallway to my other bedroom that is draped in plastic. I thought the window was prettier, and more important than being able to see stripes on my socks.
@smartasswoman I see now, says the blind man.
Wow
