Bathroom is looking good. However, the important question is ...
Does that bra have matching panties?! Love it and I want one.
I don't have panties that are striped like that, but I think I did buy a pair in coordinating purple when I bought the bra (the bra is out of circulation because it doesn't really fit me properly - but it was good enough to take a HNW shot a few months ago).
Weird, I know I replied to you but it disappeared (probably the next time I look at this, there will be two replies).
I don't have striped panties to match this but did buy a pair of solid purple ones that coordinate. 😊
I think the gray tile is better than the funky color they sent you. Not that its going to last. I didn't know you could tile over tile. Your shower is going to be so airy and luxurious.
Love you in violet!
Hugs!!
I didn't know you could tile over tile, either. Hoping that it all works out!
Love the violet coloring and the various shades of purple in horizontal lines. Nice selection. Add matching color panties you will an excellent combination 👌
You will highly enjoy the up date bath room very soon 😃
I can't wait to take a shower without having a shower curtain attacking my body!!
That is a pretty bra 😊
Looks like the renovation is coming along well 🙂
Yes, it was a bit stalled out for a week or two but moving ahead now...
There was a lull for a week or two, but things are picking up again. 😊
It’s amazing that despite the various challenges that the renovations are still going to be finished basically on schedule. No doubt you will be happy to get everything else back in order.
I sure will. My bedroom has been swathed in plastic since mid-September (in an attempt to keep out construction dust). I can get around it if I need to get something out of a dresser or closet, but it's a hassle. So I've pulled together a limited wardrobe that I'm working from as I camp out in my guest bedroom.
Pretty bra.. and yeah I like the bum tile in all grey. 😆
Pretty neat right? 😂
I thought the tiles look pretty good now its all up together, I would save your money and live with it for a while as you may get used to it and if not you can always change it later as its only a few hours work. I like the bra too.
You do realize that's with gray primer painted on top of the first tiles? 😉
Anyway, too late, I picked out a different tile that I really like and it was put up today. Just needs to be grouted now.
@smartasswoman I really like this - much better! In previous pics of that tile, I thought it was much smaller. LIke it even better now that I can see it up. I feel like the more permanent stuff like tile is best neutral because you can bring in color with paint or towels/rugs or art. When next person owns it, they can swap out that cheaper to replace stuff for whatever suits their taste more. But I know I am boring and practical like that.
@CL_Love There's nothing wrong with being practical and there was definitely an element of that in my decision to go ahead and change it. That previous tile was very polarizing...seemed like half of the people I showed it to liked it, and half thought it was "off" or wrong. Which didn't seem like a good thing whenever I decide to sell the house and downsize.
Violet looks amazing on you. 🥰
Thank you. Maybe I need to buy more violet lingerie!
@smartasswoman Would love to have you model it for me. 🥰
Liked seeing that violet much more than the snow.
Hummm, not sure how I'd feel about installing the new tiles over the other ones. FOR SURE, it would be a point of discussion for me.
Happy HNW.
Yup...like I said to CarpeJamie I was a bit surprised. I had been assuming the first layer of tile would be removed. However, it would have meant a lot more of the tile guy's time and the waterproof board underneath might have been damaged. At this point they're trying to keep additional costs (tile guy time) to a minimum.
My replies on this post keep disappearing. 🤔
I was surprised to hear they were going to be doing it that way. But I think it makes sense because in process of ripping off the unwanted tiles, he might have damaged the waterproof sheetrock that's underneath them. Plus it would have taken a lot of time and the contractor is trying to minimize the extra cost resulting from my change in course.
That’s a pretty bra!
Glad to read you’re getting forward motion on the project!
Happy HNW
What's a couple extra weeks when I haven't really been able to use the bathroom since March? 😂
Happy HNW!
@hippiechick1967 when the water mitigation company came in to remove water damaged materials, they removed the toilet and put it in the shower. I guess they thought maybe I’d want to repair the floor and put it back? I left it there while I was figuring out what to do. So…no toilet, and the shower wasn’t really usable. I was still able to use the sink until the remodeling started.
And yeah…once I realized I wasn’t going to re-use the toilet I should have found someone to help me get it out of the tub and down the stairs.
@hippiechick1967 oh and yes, I have a second full bathroom. Which has gotten more use in the last seven months than it did in the previous eight years.
I missed the snafu, the installed the wrong tiles in your shower!??? (and I'm betting that heat was supposed to come on at 5am.... )
Oooh good guess on the heat.
The tiles weren't wrong...they were just wrong for ME haha. I didn't like the way they looked after they were installed. The colors weren't how I envisioned... so now I have picked out something completely different that is more neutral.
My comment replies to some people in this thread keep disappearing...sorry! 😭🤷🏻♀️
And now the disappeared ones all have come back, so I'm repeating myself. 🙄
