FUN FACT - supposedly Beyonce used this performance as inspiration for the dance in Single Ladies. I don't know... I guess I see it? In bits and pieces? I just know I'd rather listen to Single Ladies than an Austin Powers soundtrack number.
I didn't feel like coming up with a new plaid picture, so here's me on my back patio, winter of 2018. Not at all naked, really.
Recovery update. I had my post op visit with a primary care doc last Friday. She said the bruising and the "knot" under my skin where the incision was made were normal and might take a couple months to go away. I asked about starting up yoga again, she recommended at the two week point (which is today) so I'm on the waitlist for my normal class tomorrow.
Great news! I mentioned previously that the Tuesday/Thursday morning yoga teacher, who I really like, would no longer be available to me because of the new hours for Silver Sneakers members. He's now added two noon hour yoga classes to the schedule. Win win! I get to be my usual lazy sleep-in self.

I'm happy that I can try to rebuild my yoga habit now...was starting to worry that with too much time off I wouldn't get back to it.
I see a few points of inspiration between the two videos, but agree that Beyonce's song is much better listening. Hubs had shoulder surgery last week and the bruising is quite spectacular though he says it doesn't really hurt - just looks awful.
Mine did hurt a bit - just kinda tender to the touch and felt itchy - but that is subsiding. 😊 Hope your husband's surgery was a success!
@smartasswoman It was, thank you. Bone spurs were rubbing against the rotator cuff, but had not been doing it long enough to cause a tear so no major repair work - just scraping those off to get clear space for movement. He's stir crazy at home for the last week and half, but he goes back to work next week.
Gwen Verdon was married to Bob Fosse and that clip has Fosse written all over it.
I can see the influence in Beyonce's video.

I watched 'Past Lives' the other day. A gentle and romantic tale with good writing and an interesting plot. Do you like romance movies? I almost reached for a kleenex. It was worthy.

I've heard good things about Past Lives, thanks for the recommendation. It's only showing in the far suburbs here, but perhaps I could buy it on prime.
Ted is a good yoga teacher, but what sets him apart is his very relaxed attitude and sense of humor. It just makes it more fun. I have had some yoga teachers who were very severe, for lack of a better description.

Yeah a muted plaid it is. When you look for a new plaid pattern , I think a bright , bold pattern is called for. That will tell the world "Watch out I am back " 😉
