My grandmother used to say "Those who sew, so shall they rip." I'm sure there is something similar for the knitters along the lines of tinking, but I hate the pulling it all apart and starting over. Maybe that's why I've never finished anything with yarn. Glad the lifelines have given you peace of mind even if ended up unnecessary now. Glad the group fitness is going well. You are looking strong! LOL
I love that sewing saying! With knitting, there is tinking where you are going backwards, undoing one stitch at a time. Taking it off the needles and just undoing the whole thing is called frogging. Which I never understood until someone explained that frogs go 'ribbet ribbet' (rip it rip it).
I noticed my arm looked nice in that position so then I flexed it and took another photo. π
Glad to see you are putting effort in your workouts and seeking different styles of workouts. What find about my workouts is that when I finish , I feel satisfied.
With these new classes I donβt exactly feel satisfied afterward, because I know either my form could have been better or I didnβt do as many reps as most of the other people in class, etc. But I think that will come in time.
@smartasswoman when changing routine can bring the feeling of reaching your goals. Just stay wit it and it shall .
Just seeing the knitting pattern made my mind boggle. It recovered very well when I saw the lovely pictures of you.
Hugs
Aw, I'm glad my pics cleared your head. π
Your knitting impresses me so much!! The scarf will be beautiful.
Your pic is gorgeous. I love the quilt under you too.
Hugs!!
The big fluffy comforter has been put away for a few months, replaced by this light quilt. I think I actually found this at Target, believe it or not. A long long time ago.
Good work. Knitting and exercising.
Happy HNW
Thank you!
I love your knitting projects. There is such a variety of stitches and patterns. The scarf is quite lovely.
Thanks so much BJ - means a lot coming from another crafter!
Cool π knitting projects. HNW!! Good that enjoying some new exercise
Thanks nick!
Hmmm, 'lifelines'; who knew? Smart idea.
And great pics. π
Of course it would have been even smarter if I'd been using them from the beginning!! π
It's always a trade-off between the extra time to put lifelines in, versus all of the time you lose if you end up having to start over completely.
Smart, beautiful scarf, Omgosh your patience. I have none. Beautiful picture of you!
Learning to knit has definitely forced me to have more of a zen attitude about things. Gotta rip it all out and start over? Guess that means I get to postpone spending money on yarn for the next project a bit longer.
hey dear lets connect and satisfy each other what u think ?
The (partial) scarf looks nice on you, but unfortunately I spotted a defect and you need to remove it ASAP.
I have taken a few classes before (hot yoga was the most fun) but for quite a while now I've just been doing my own thing. Main focus, strength (especially core) and getting my heart rate up (via exercise, though ladies in low cut tops or tight yoga pants works too.)
I've been doing my own thing for a long time now too. Rowing machine or elliptical, or sometimes walking on treadmill; and a combo of weight machines and free weights. And I'll probably continue exercising that way at least once a week. But I felt like I was getting a little stagnant. The classes are good because I'm forced to do the stuff I don't like very much, like lunges. And it's a different workout every time.
This is great Smarty ! Pretty scarf and it looks like your post went thru easily ? No rhyme or reason to this place....smh ~
Like I said to spunky, maybe it's something that will be a phased rollout. It sure would be nice if changes were communicated in advance around here.
How have you got images on your blog post through?
Happy HNW, you kinky knitter!
Well, don't forget that often when they make changes it's a phased rollout to different regions...that might explain people having varying experiences today. We shall see.
And thank you!
@smartasswoman I don't know how the site does its rollouts. I know one Brit who has to confirm his ID before uploading an image, he didn't. I just don't trust this site to keep personal details secure. The site can hardly keep things functional!
@spunkycumfun I donβt plan on doing ConfirmID either, if I start getting that prompt.
@smartasswoman The site seems to be going down a wrong road with this one.
@spunkycumfun Yep. π
Yay for progress!
The scarf is pretty, I really love the color you chose.
And, you're looking lovely as ever.
Thanks, friend β€οΈ
The color of the scarf is pretty π
Thanks! I like the little flecks of pale green.
