We live in a comparatively small town (50k ish people) and REGULARLY realize there are connections between folks that we know in drastically different ways. But that will be funny if they figure out the "noise". LOL
Oh, I'm pretty sure they know what the noise is...but when they realize the guy who's moved in next door is the same guy they sat with at graduation dinner... π¬
That connection is hilarious!! Plus I love vocal men. HWD sounds like a lot of fun
Hugs!!
He isβ¦even watching tv with him is fun, he laughs uproariously at anything even mildly funny.
It is a small world.
Cool
Once it cools down of course, perhaps you should leave the windows open and see if the neighbors call the cops, or come to join the fun.
It's not like I haven't heard embarrassing things from their house - mother-daughter arguments, one time someone throwing up in the middle of the night. But sex sounds are extra embarrassing.
That fence will have to come down some day. πΆ
It's definitely decrepit, the other day a contractor knocked on my door and said "your fence has seen better days" and handed me his card.
@smartasswoman
And THATz, when they'll recognize him, as he supervises the work.
@Paulxx001 lol - you've got some outdated gender stereotypes going there, if you think HWD would be supervising my fence rebuild.
If for no other reason, he works 7 days a week so he's almost never here during the day.
@smartasswoman
My POV? π€
Get some estimates, tear it down, and meet new friends.
Plus, it'll up the resale value when you sell the place. Not that you'll need the money.
But when HWD brings the rest of his stuff in β where ya gonna store it all? π
@Paulxx001 At the very least, the neighbors need to rebuild the shared section of the fence, because they have dogs.
I've thought about getting a dog at times, and if I did so I'd want to have a fenced yard. I'm trying to think if I've seen anyone in my neighborhood who didn't have their back yard fenced. It's pretty rare here.
@Paulxx001 as for your last question...it's a real dilemma. I don't want it all in my garage and basement family room forever, but I wouldn't have the first idea of where to disperse it all in the house.
I like having him around, but there are complications with the ex that lead me to think he should still have a goal of getting his own place eventually (the ex has somehow formed a bad opinion of our relationship, and therefore won't allow the kids to visit here - which means he has to go to her place 25 miles away if he wants to spend time with them).
@smartasswoman
Nah...
Every guy here, with an interest in dirt, and wood, might say, β 'I wanna watch that.'
@smartasswoman
That's sad.
I understand your feelings
Yes. I understand what you're saying.
π
I guess it won't be long before the neighbours twig.
Twig? Is that a Britishism? π€
@smartasswoman It seems it is a Britishism if you haven't come across the term meaning to catch on.
@spunkycumfun interestingβ¦no, the only meaning I was aware of was a small tree branch.
Itβll be interesting to hear how the BBQ went π
We're pretty good at mutually ignoring each other, so maybe the day of reckoning won't arrive...
Wow, just Prickles and my female cat this Saturday.
wait...
See, you can't just say these things. I...have....questions.
Isn't Prickles a cactus?
@EnigmaInitiative I was assuming my little story gave him goosebumps, lol.
@EnigmaInitiative
Yes, she is a Cactus thus why I call ker Prickles!
@Apolorising63 So, did you female cat fall into the cactus and smarty's story reminded you of the noise you heard?
Primal scream, you say? LMFAO
Maybe more of a roar than a scream - either way it's loud.
@smartasswoman I'm just trying to imagine if I heard something like that from my neighbor's house what I'd do.
I can't picture it enough to know if I'd call the police, or come up with some joke to tell the next time I saw my neighbor. π
As you said, its a small world...lol. Im sure the looks at the neighbors now will take on a different meaning, from both sides, if the daughter and Andrea are semi friends~
I don't think they are super friendly any more - at one point they apparently were friendly enough that Andrea was picked up so they could go to an event together, and that was how the mini-me recognized the house.
