Picking just one, and from the limited list, is excruciating. And what about assorted fruits and vegetables? Or summer rolls? Or onigiri, musubi, and the like?
The poll was only looking at savoury cold finger foods. Carrots, celery and tomatoes were mentioned in the post, though only tomatoes featured in the poll.
I've not come across musubi and onigiri, presumably they're Japanese foods.
@spunkycumfun Yes, they most certainly are.
Onigiri are balls of rice with goodies (pickled plum or vegetables, or steamed salmon or some other savory item) in the center. The rice balls are formed into triangles and wraped in a crisp sheet of seaweed.
Musubi typically has a rectangular pad of rice topped with a rectangular slab of grilled SPAM, ham, scrambled egg, or some kind of fried/grilled protein, then given a belt/strip of toasted seaweed to tie the layers together.
Summer rolls are Vietnamese food similar to spring rolls containing strips of some kind of tasty protein (shrimp, grilled pork, sausage, etc.) and assorted veggies (lettuce, mint, etc.) wrapped in moistened rice sheets. You can dip them in sauce or eat them plain.
@CuriousHer Onigiri sounds good. I'm not so sure about Musubi as I'm not a fan of Spam.
@SiteSupport It's about nine hours since I submitted this post. What's going on regarding approval? I know it's a long blog post, with a poll, but in no way does the post breach the site's terms of use. The post is solely about food without any sexual innuendo.
There have been well over 20 blog posts submitted after this which have been approved. Is 'first come, first served' a principle for Tier 1 in approving blog posts or not? Or is there a practice that the post is so long that Tier 1 can't be arsed to read it for approval?
@spunkycumfun Our apologies for the delay. Your post has now been approved.
@SiteSupport Thank you.
@mufdiver69er2 Thank you for your patience while we reviewed blog posts. I understand your concerns about the delay, and Iโd like to clarify that we strive to review blog posts strictly on a "first come, first served" basis. However, the complexity, length, and additional features, such as polls, may require extra time to review and ensure compliance with our content guidelines. This ensures all posts meet our standards before they are made public.
Rest assured, the delay was not due to the content or length of the post. We strive to approve all submissions as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your understanding.
@mufdiver69er2 We still haven't been given an answer!
@mufdiver69er2 True. Reading between the lines, and given that Site Support doesn't like to be critical of Tier 1 reviewers, I suspect it was down to the incompetence of the latter!
@mufdiver69er2 Nine hours is ridiculous. I suspect Tier 1 are playing a canny game with the site. It all depends on their contract and how they're paid - number of posts reviewed (short ones are therefore best)? number of posts denied (hence the arbitrary denials)? etc. Or maybe it's downright incompetence or linguistic shortcomings?
@mufdiver69er2 Jon signed a duff contract with Tier 1!
This post hasn't been approved yet, and it's over eight hours since it was submitted.
Cold finger and taste hot pussy sandwich
But does a hot pussy like cold fingers?!
Thanks for stopping by.
Peanuts are a favorite, and I agree about celery. It is the lowest on my list.
The United Nations needs to ban celery!
I like sandwiches with some side fruits like strawberries and grapes with cheeses. Reading all the listed items, it makes me feel hungry ๐
I love a cheese sandwich with a sliced tomato thrown in.
Coldfinger, he's the man
The man with the midas touch
"Shaken, not stirred", even if Ian Fleming never wrote that.
Trump is running scared of Harris in terms of another televised debate. And I can't believe there are Americans who believe that Trump's two assassination attempts were fake. Maybe the joke's on me, but you can't fake these assassination attempts, amateurish as they were.
I have to say cheese and crackers are my favorite cold finger foods, and some sandwiches are good too. The rest of it I could do without..
Cheese is a hit for many at a cold buffet.
I like pretzels, but preferably freshly-baked, which I get at my favorite bakery on Saturdays
I know Americans love their pretzels, but I just can't get into them.
I chose salty nibbles. I also wanted to choose bread and bread sticks. Then there are wraps .... And ....
Your plate's going to be full!
I get there are limitations, but hard boiled eggs and pretzels in the same poll? I mean I like both, but hardly see them as comparable.
You know from my recent HNW - real men don't eat quiche (or cook it either).
But both boiled eggs and pretzels can be eaten with one's fingers.
Cured ham
well-cured Iberian ham.
I thought you may choose a Spanish ham!
@spunkycumfun Iberian ham "is" a ham from Spain
There are others as "Serrano", "Teruel"... but Iberian ham is the jewel of the crown!
@AuraAviatik6 I've heard of Iberian and Serrano ham but not Teruel ham. Spain do some great hams.
