AVOCADO OIL! The healthiest of all oils with the highest level of heat tolerance in any oil and one of the highest anti-oxidant levels. Also contains polyphenols.
You've now totally sold avocado oil to me. Thanks for stopping by.
Olive oil and avocado oil are always in my pantry.
You've got two great oils in your pantry.
It's good to see you back in blogland.
@spunkycumfun Also noticed a sunflower/avocado blend as a backup hiding in the pantry LoL Am I back...🤔
@CuteBBW1973 Well, I hope you're back. At least you're here!
@spunkycumfun I'll make an appearance from time to time 😊
@CuteBBW1973 You're always welcome here.
@spunkycumfun Aww thanks!
I use olive oil and avocado oil both. I like the spray avocado oil to grease pans with over olive oil. Avocado oil has a higher heat tolerance, good for frying tortilla shells.
A lot of people are recommending avocado oil. It's not common here in the UK.
Avocado
I've not tried avocado oil. It sounds worth a try though.
I have started using avacado seed oil for cooking when I don't want the olive oil flavor. Its good stuff!
I've never tried avocado oil but it sounds good.
Excellent for cooking, it has a higher flash point.
Avocado & grapeseed as they can handle high heat without smoking. Not really an oil, but I also use ghee.
A lot of people are liking avocado oil.
@spunkycumfun Try it. You might also.
@Steven1953 I'm sure I will like avocado oil.
damage your Canola oil is a GMO. It can damage your digestive system, cause lesion in your intestine
I think a lot of oils may be genetically-modified oils. Thanks for stopping by.
Lard, Butter or Bacon renderings are best.
I'm not sure healthy those three are. Thanks for stopping by.
@spunkycumfun While none are seed oil they are the best for cooking.
@papasmerf1958 That doesn't surprise me. I often use goose fat to roast potatoes.
Beef tallow, lard and bacon grease
Together doesn't sound too healthy! Thanks for stopping by.
Argan oil
I tried argan oil when I was in Morocco. It's good.
I like chili oil on my pizzas, too
For cooking, I prefer olive oil.
I don't think I've ever used olive oil for cooking.
Many traditionalists here, Olive oil, of course. (We do use coconut oil in the corn popping machine.)
Olive oil seems to be almost everyone's favourite oil.
@spunkycumfun From what I understand, it is also one of the healthiest. Happy New Year.
@RUmytranny I guess that's one of the reasons why those who have a Mediterranean diet seem to live longer.
Wishing you a Happy New Year.
Olive oil
In past would have included an image of Poppy's girlfriend
Olive oil is the runaway leader in the poll. Olive Oyl was great!
Olive oil for me. I was at a tasting where there were different grades, from extra virgin down to "lamp oil". There was a definite difference in taste, I can not remember if there were any uses for the grade they called lamp oil.
I definitely don't want lamp oil as a dressing for my salad!
Coconut oil! Great for arousal. Olive oil: great for cooking.
You're the second person linking coconut oil to sex. I didn't know coconuts could be sexy!
@spunkycumfun How could they not. The word has nuts in it.
@justskin1 LOL. I should have realised!
@spunkycumfun coconuts 🥥 very sexy
I cook with olive oil when necessary.
I was told (wrongly) that olive oil is not too good for cooking with.
Grape seed oil
I've not tried grapeseed oil.
Good quality olive oil....with a bit of butter thrown in if I am frying eggs. Only exception might be frying up some fish at the lake in cannola oil. Trench oil, really??
Unfortunately trench oil is real mainly in China.
I don't use a lot of oils because of hubbies heart healthy diet so I have to watch the labels so I chose vegetable because of it's heart healthy label. I really like Sesame Oil when making my friend rice.
Another great battle you chose and I hope your enjoying a relaxing Sunday..
Sesame oil and rice go well together.
By FAR olive oil is the one I use the most.
I have used peanut oil for nekkid wrestling and massages, due to it being edible/lickable, but I know this poll is not about that.
Olive oil sems to be the runaway leader of oils.
Olive oil, mostly because of its health profile. I'm trying to stay away from saturated fats now. Eggs used to be cooked in butter, now it's olive oil. Popcorn used to be topped with butter or coconut oil, now it's olive oil.
I think olive oil will easily win this poll. I thought it would be soybean oil as I read somewhere that it's popular in America but it's garnered no votes so far. What do I know about oils!
@spunkycumfun I was surprised by your comment about soybean oil. I don't think I have ever purchased it.
@smartasswoman I must have read something dodgy on the internet!
@staci_19702 it’s fine. I’ve recently started making popcorn in the microwave in a special bowl, no oil. A tiny drizzle of olive oil after it comes out helps the salt to stick. 😄
I voted Other because I don't really use any.
Not even for frying?
@spunkycumfun I don't fry; I broil.
@superbjversion2 I've never broiled. I only fry, boil, grill, roast or microwave!
Olive oil.
Extra virgin olive oil, first cold pressed.
I had a hunch you'd opt for olive oil!
beef tallow, so good with mcdonalds french fries
I've never knowingly had beef tallow.
@spunkycumfun they changed to different oil when people found out
@notsure1949 I guess vegetarians/vegans weren't happy with McDonald's using beef tallow.
Olive oil, particularly used as a solvent for various herbs, peppers and garlic, is magical when topped with freshly ground black pepper and used as a dip for fresh baguette, and washed down with a malty and hoppy ale.
Olive oil is taking an early and possibly commanding lead in the poll.
