Rice.... better if is in a paella
I like my rice best with a hot Indian curry.
@spunkycumfun But a paella is much better!!
Just kidding
@AuraAviatik6 Paella without the seafood is okay.
@spunkycumfun Yes, paella "mixta"
Cum
Thanks for stopping by.
I love corn, but must admit that barley (especially soup) is a very close favorite!
I love corn-on-the-cob smeared with lots of butter. Thanks for stopping by.
I eat brown rice at home, whenever I get around to cooking any. In Japan, mochi rice is usually steamed and brown/white rice is cooked in the rice cooker. Cooking flavored rice (paella, bamboo rice, and such, is much better on the stovetop.
I boil my rice and then finish it off in the oven for a couple of minutes.
Oats for me. Recently, I have become a fan of overnight oats with chia seeds. (Two in one). For oatmeal, steel cut oats with peanut butter is my go to.I can't say I have a least favorite. I do like pasta and rice, but need to make that a treat only once in a while. Thankfully, I have no gluten allergy.
I've never had oats with peanut butter but I'm not a peanut butter fan.
I'm a corn fed country girl
Corn, what we call maize, isn't grown much here. It's mainly wheat, barley and oats grown.
I voted oats, since almost every morning I have an overnight oatmeal mixture that includes oats, chia, flax and chopped up apples.
That's a very healthy start to the day.
I was thinking Rye, as in fresh rye bread until I saw Rice just above it. I hadn't considered rice, but I eat it in many different forms with many different dishes, so had to change my vote to Rice.
And honestly, I must live a sheltered life as I didn't recognize half of the options. (Oh, Rye is also a great whisky. Prefer it to Saki.)
Prior to compiling this poll, I only knew the names of little more than a handful of different grain types.
I had to go with wheat but I do eat a 12 grain bread that is really good. I do like rye too sometimes.
Another great battle you chose for today my friend. I hope your Thursday continues to treat you well..
I love multi-grain bread too.
For a non-Asian I eat an incredible amount of rice.
Rice is loved all around the world.
