In THE BATTLE OF THE SANDWICH, bacon sandwich comfortably won, with ham, pastrami, cheese, turkey and beef sandwiches coming next in the poll on sandwiches. I think it was the BLT that did it for bacon!
Now it's the turn of fruit juices to do battle. This poll is only concerned with fruit juices. It's not concerned with vegetable juices like beetroot/beet, cabbage, carrot, celery, dandelion, garlic, ginger, kale, lettuce, onion, potato, rice, seaweed, spinach, turmeric and wheatgrass soup. And the poll isn't concerned with meat juices like clam juice and gravy/jus.
Botanically speaking, nuts are flowers so nut milks are included in this poll.
In contrast to chips, cookies and even sandwiches, there's broad agreement between Americans and Brits as to what a fruit juice is. In both countries, a fruit juice can only be sold as fruit juice if it is 100% fruit juice - a fruit juice cannot be watered down or have sugar added. However, in Britain a fruit juice can be sold as such if it's made from a fruit concentrate.
To make the poll manageable, fruit juices made up of a combination of fruits (eg apple and blackberry juice, mango and passionfruit juice, mixed berry juice, orange and pomegranate juice, tropical juice) are excluded.
The biggest fruit juice consumers in the world are New Zealanders and, perhaps slightly surprisingly, Colombians.
I like nearly all fruit juices I've drunk. But my most favourite fruit juices are bilberry juice, blackberry juice, blackcurrant, grapefruit juice, guava juice, mango juice, orange juice (only freshly-squeezed with the bits in) and papaya juice, with tomato juice being the best fruit juice to drink. A tomato juice served with a ice and a big splash of Worcestershire sauce works wonders on a hot summer's day - no vodka is needed!
My least favourite fruit juices are apple juice, elderberry juice, pomegranate juice, prune juice and redcurrant juice, with cranberry juice being the worst fruit juice to drink. I find cranberry juice too astringent for my palate.
What are your most and least favourite fruit juices?
Do you regularly make your own fruit juices from scratch?
I've never made my own fruit juice. I let other people make them!
Below is a poll where you can anonymously select your most favourite fruit juice. Unfortunately only one pick is allowed in the poll.
All fruits can be juiced, and because a poll on this site can only have a maximum of 20 answer options, there was unfortunately no room as poll options for: acai berry juice, acerola juice, ackee juice, almond milk, apricot juice, aronia berry juice, aubergine/eggplant juice, avocado juice, banana juice, baobab juice, barberry juice, bilberry juice, blackberry juice, boysenberry juice, breadfruit juice, bristle berry juice, buffaloberry/bulberry juice, cape gooseberry juice, cashew juice/milk, Ceylon/Indian gooseberry juice, Chinese bramble berry juice, chokeberry juice, clementine juice, cloudberry juice, coconut milk/water, conkerberry juice, cupuaçu juice, date juice, Davidson's plum juice, dewberry juice, ditakh juice, dragonfruit juice, elderberry juice, emu berry juice, fig juice, goji berry/wolfberry juice, gooseberry juice, haskap berry/honeyberry juice, haw/hawberry/hawthorn berry juice, hazelnut milk, huckleberry juice, juneberry/serviceberry juice, juniper berry juice, kaba juice, Kakadu plum juice, kiwifruit/Chinese gooseberry juice, Korean raspberry juice, kumquat juice, lime juice, lingonberry juice, loganberry juice, lychee juice, magnolia berry juice, Malabar berry juice, melon juice, midgen berry juice, mulberry juice, myrtle berry juice, palm fruit juice, peach juice, peanut milk, pear juice, pecan milk, persimmon juice, pistachio milk, plum juice (including damson and prune juice), prickly pear juice, pumpkin juice, quince juice, rhubarb juice, rose hip juice, rowanberry juice, Salal berry juice, salmonberry juice, sea buckthorn juice, sloe berry/blackthorn juice, starfruit juice, sweetcorn/corn/maize juice, tamarind juice, tangerine juice, tayberry juice, thimbleberry juice, ube/purple yam juice, ugli fruit juice, walnut milk, whitebeam berry juice, white currant juice, wintergreen/teaberry juice, youngberry juice and yuzu juice.
But there is always the 'other' option for those fruit juices not listed in the poll. Hopefully I've covered all the popular fruit juices as poll options.
I think orange juice will win, but apple juice, blueberry juice, cherry juice, mango juice and pineapple juice may also do well in the poll.
Please see the first comment below to see what has won each battle of the food and drinks so far.

As for juice, nothing beats grape juice… fermented 😄
Definitely my favorite way to consume grapes.
I drink a couple of glasses of wine, sorry fermented grape juice, every evening!
Pussy juice
Many would agree with you.
Orange juice is my go-to breakfast juice 🙂
Orange juice is going to win and probably has already won.
Cranberry juice is a must for those of us prone to UTI's. 😁
Me and cranberries don't get on!
Tomato juice always tastes great on a Sunday morning, especially a V 8 !!!
I prefer no vodka in my tomato juice. Thanks for stopping by.
I voted for apple juice because it is my favorite however, I'm not allowed to have juice because of the diabetes
I didn't know fruit juice wasn't allowed for diabetics.
@spunkycumfun it is for me. too much sugar. even unsweetened
I think I prefer pineapple juice over orange but it costs more around here so I get cheap and buy the orange juice. Sighssss
Nearly all fruit juices cost the same here.
How cruel, you omitted my favourite -- peach juice. Concord grape is sweet and "tangy", and a close second, but tends to be heavier. Peach is full of flavour yet lighter.
My apologies. Something had to go in this poll with nearly 100 fruit juice types identified.
@spunkycumfun Yes, of course. But peach!? What did they ever do to you? Oh, the humanity . . .
@RUmytranny I love peaches. I also left out melon. Now I'm wishing I got rid of strawberry.
Watermelon juice is refreshing and awesome!
I love watermelon but I've never tried watermelon juice. Sounds good though.
I stopped juices a long time ago. Apple was my go to. Way back when I was a kid, we had apricot nectar. That was my favorite as a kid. It had a very creamy texture. I just read that it was also sweeter than apricot juice, which probably led to my taste for it.
I've not tried apricot nectar nor apricot juice.
No favourite (except only orange as a vodka mix) , what i drink daily is juice combo of apple/pear/orange/grape and who knows what other fruit
That's some combination.
@spunkycumfun Lol. its called Passion Fruit
@taurean62dbn An even bigger combination!
Beetroot and grapefruit juice mixed is an absolute triumph. Though the first supposedly reduces blood pressure while the second apparently heightens it. Either way, it is the most delicious combo.
I've never tried beetroot juice. I should give it a whirl as I like beetroot.
I voted for grape juice but I must say that it was really a tie with orange juice. I also like cranberry juice but for some reason have not had it for a while. As for juices I will not drink the first that comes to mind is prune juice. Hate both the flavor and the feel of it. I do not drink grapefruit juice partly because it is usually too sour for my taste and also it is too acid for my stomach.
I'm not keen on prune juice either. I believe it's good if one is constipated!
I voted for grapefruit juice which sadly is now verboten due to meds, so I make do with orange juice. A tight third is a blend of beetroot/orange/apple.
I'll go with canned tomato for my Bloody Mary's, but otherwise always fresh juice made from scratch.
I like a glass of grapefruit juice in the mornings as it wakes me up.
Love to drink most juices but PINEAPPLE is my favorite!
I have to be in right mood to drink pineapple juice though I do love the taste of pineapple.
@spunkycumfun Not all pineapple juice are created equal.
Like all fruit juices
That's a good position to take.
Not that big on tomato. Technically a fruit seems more like a vegetable
@spunkycumfun use to make peach juice. To do have to process peaches from three blend heat can. When desire use open can mix about 1 to 4 water. Very bland taste so would add cinnamon and strawberries and or black and blueberries. No sugar. Blend together
@bignicktx Botanically tomato is a fruit. And botanically strawberry isn't a fruit!
@spunkycumfun yes. Yet not how feel
I went with other as mine is Orange Pineapple Juice with Cranberry Pineapple running a close second my friend. Thank you for another great battle, and I hope you enjoy a fun filled weekend..
I had to leave combination fruit juices out of poll because there are just so many fruit juices around! Sorry.
Anti-oxidant force organic juice. the Best !!!
That sounds like a magic juice!
@spunkycumfun Try it is great. Helps with inflammation and you will notice a healthful feeling in your body within a month.
@Bearmantits I'll look out for it here.
What are your most and least favourite fruit juices? - I voted for tomato as my most favorite as that is the case, though orange is the juice I drink most often.
Do you regularly make your own fruit juices from scratch? - When I lived in Florida, we had an orange tree (and a Key Lime one!) in the backyard. The oranges looked horrible, but juiced fairly well.
I'm slightly surprised tomato juice is taking an early lead in the poll.
