Given today's Half Nekkid Wednesday's theme is November 26 : Autumn Colors/Movember for the third time this month, and given that there's no dedicated HNW on cucumbers, I'm going on strike. Very reluctantly I'm going to have to cheat this week. In protest, I've decided not to post any half-naked photos of myself! Instead I'm uploading two English cucumbers wearing condoms, see above, and half-naked cucumber sandwiches, see below!
Cucumbers clearly need a dedicated HNW week. It's not as if Americans (or Japanese or for that matter Canadians) don't have their cucumbers, they're just not as big as English cucumbers. But I accept they are thicker. And as the saying goes: long and thin goes straight in, short and thick does the trick.
Below is a petition to sign if you want a single, dedicated cucumber-themed HNW week at the expense of, say, one of the three Autumn Colors/Movember weeks. This is an important issue that needs to be addressed. Just because cucumbers aren't harvested in Autumn, though they probably are somewhere in the world, and just because Movember is a men-only theme, despite cucumbers affecting us all whatever our gender, the cucumber have rights and should have official HNW recognition!

Never had a cucumber sandwich. If it was offered, I may try it to see if it is to my liking. I will have to say, I had my first BLT three years ago and I was hooked. Can't believe that for over fifty years I never had one and now I make them from time to time.
Cucumber sandwiches are best with cream cheese. It's the cool cucumber crunch that makes the sandwich.

@spunkycumfun would it still be a cucumber sandwich without the cream cheese? I have eaten my fair share of them at tea during cricket matches. Of course you do need a good curry to go along with them.
